I don't know what the other folks are complaining about. I have had the frog humidifier for just over a year and it still works like a charm. I used it all winter here in Minnesota and just took it out of my childrens' room. I always crank it up to the highest level and then back down to just the amount of moisture I want coming out of it. It is not really steam, it's not suppose to be. It is moisture in a vapor form. This humidifier is very quiet and does a great job. Best of all, it doesn't take a filter so you don't have to keep spending money on filters every time you want to use it. I also bought another one for a friend with a new baby at the same time I bought mine, and she hasn't had any problems either.Customer Review: Happy with Purchase -- Adorable and Useful

This is the 3rd humidifier I have bought for my 23 month old (the other 2 were returned b/c they leaked alot). This one I am keeping -- it has not leaked; it is extremely cute, and is quiet. I like that it does not have a filter to change (if you have a child w/allergies or need clean air, then I would go w/one that needs a filter, but I just wanted mist and hydration in her nursery). She loves the cow that I bought; it matches her decor, is easy to fill and sits on top of her nightstand. I have a larger commercial grade one for my master bedroom but I didn't feel a small nursery needed a super sized humidifier so I bought this Crane adorable one and we are happy w/the purchase.Customer Review: Lifesaver for mama's too!

I am eight months pregnant and bought this humidifier for my baby's nursery. I received this product just in the nick of time! A few days after it arrived, I caught an AWFUL head cold, which included a terrible case of night-time congestion. I felt immediate relief from the moment my husband plugged-in our new "Cow" and aimed it's ear at me (the steam comes out of both ears). I was able to breathe all night in comfort without congestion, a dry throat or dry nasal passages. I ran the cow on its highest setting and the water lasted until morning. This item is better than I anticipated and I would highly recommend it to anyone. One more thing, this unit is blissfully QUIET.Customer Review: Mooooooo!!!!!

I purchased this after seeing the elephant at my brother's house. Not only is this humidifier adorable, it made a world of difference in my room! No longer was it difficult to breathe! It also got rid of the itchy, dry eyes that no medication could! Directions say not to put it on a wooden surface because of leakage. However, all of my furniture is made of wood and fortunately the humidifier (to date) hasn't leaked at all! A tank of water lasts roughly a day and a half if set somewhere between low and medium. I imagine it will need to be filled more frequently if set at higher settings. I would recommend buying this if you are an allergy sufferer like myself.Customer Review: Some difficulty in finding a place to put this

I bought 2 humidifiers from Crane, first the Penguin, then this cow. Quality-wise, the cow is better than the penguin, the finish on the water tank feels sturdier and more polished. I leave this on in my baby's room when she sleeps and it works quite well. The only problem is finding a place to put it. You're not supposed to put it too close to walls and other surfaces otherwise the surfaces will become moist, since the mist comes out of the ears which are angled ~45% outwards it means you can't have any walls/furniture on either side of the cow. For that reason I prefer the penguin since the mist vents from the mouth of the penguin.
