I the look of this humidifier, that's the major reason I purchased it...The first one came in having a crack on the side, I ended up exchanging for a new one, this one didn't have much mist coming out at first, and I just left it like that for couple weeks, it works fine now... I guess I can't complain much as this is a simple basic devise... So if you are looking for functional humidifiers, maybe you wanna get something else... FYI, the "cow" doesn't have a nightlight, so be aware when you need one~ Great customer service!Customer Review: It works but not efficient.. Update: Fan stopped after a winter's use

Pros: Cute design and easy to feed with 1 gallon tank.
Cons: No separate power button. Have to twist the knob each to time turning on and off and make adjustment. Output is not sufficient for a room larger than 100 sq feet. No carbon filter (i.e., better fill it with pre-filtered water).
In general, it is more of a fancy looking decor than efficient humidifier.
Update:
After 5 months use the fan stopped and no more mist comes out. Contacting manufacturer for service ....

It's very quiet. I put it on my nightstand next to my bed. Did not bother me a bit. I've been using it almost every night since I got it and it's still working fine. It looks very cute too.
The only thing is that when you refill the water tank, it could become a little heavy. But you don't really need to completely fill it up. Even just half or 1/3 full, it can last quite a few days already. Just like some other users recommended, I cleaned it by putting some vinegar in and shook it vigorously for a while.

Well I work in the HVAC field so I know about humidity. I haven't taken a meter to my room yet to measure the actual humidity level on and off but I think my morning dry throat has been lessened since using it. It's a piece of cake to use. I have city water so I don't get dust. I fill it every two days with it on the medium setting. I rinse it with bleach every two weeks, no sign of algae. Our grandson uses a humidifier in his room at home so when he came to visit, his parents wanted one at our house too. After reading all the reviews, I purchased the Crane Adorable Cow. The steam comes out its ears, so there are TWO outlets for steam, not one as in many of the Crane humidifiers. The humidifier is very quiet so if you are looking for something to create background noise, this is not it. Am very happy with this purchase and would do it again.
