I was hesitant to buy this product after reading mixed reviews but we decided to take our chances and buy the cow humidifier. I am so glad we did! This humidifier is perfect in our nursery! It is quiet and does not leak at all. We love the fact that there is no filter and that you can adjust the output. The cuteness is just an added bonus. My daughter loves the cow and so do I. So far its been really reliable. But like most humidifiers, I simply don't enjoy having to clean the device daily - meaning both the base with water and then the tank itself. Other humidifiers require the same maintenance plan so don't let that dissuade you from choosing this particular humidifier. I have gone through 4 different types of humidifiers already before I come across this little one. I am so glad that I got it! The machine is amazingly quite and effective. I was a bit concerned about the 1G volumn limit at first, but with this little bugger always on, 1G can last a couple of days easy. My kids loved it because it was so cute but they have a larger room so I put it on a high setting. The next morning the floor was soaked! I'm not sure that the moisture is getting into the air because it all seemed to be on the floor. I'll try using it at a lower setting tonight to see if it does better there. I bought this for my daughter who has eczema. She adores it (and she is 16). The steam comes out the cow's horns and it work's right away. It turn's itself off when it run's out of water and she unplugs it in the morning. We use filtered water only and make sure we open it in the morning to let it air out. It is the best insurance to keep any humidifier from getting stinky or moldy.
