Customer Review: Cute, and works well

These are tailored for kids, but my g/f has fairly eclectic tastes, so I picked the dragon for her. She really liked it. We both thought the design should incorporate steam coming out of the nose instead of the top of the ears, but the effect still worked. More importantly, the device itself works really, really well. The g/f had a little trouble of getting the reservoir seated properly, but with a little twisting you can feel when it's on right. It starts working almost immediately when you turn it on. Probably 5 seconds or so, and it is misting. The dial to control the amount of mist works as good as anything can. It's sensitive, stable, and simple. Somebody designed and built this thing right. The only possible complaint I have, is the reservoir doesn't fit in our bathroom sinks very well. Also, the reservoir cap can be tough to get off. I tend to put it on pretty firm, but the moisture and water pressure can make it a bit tough to remove. All in all, a great product.Customer Review: So cute, and functional too!

I got this humidifier for my office, which is very dry. He (my office mate and I have named him Albert) sits on the side of my desk and steams away quietly (a couple soft gurgling sounds every now and then) and looks pretty darn cute. On the setting I have him on, he can go for several days of being on all day without needing a refill -- the user's manual is nice and clear about what setting is appropriate for your particular environment. Lots of co-workers have come by and cooed over him and then said they were going to get one or something similar for themselves.
The only things that I wish were different: 1) you're supposed to put him on a surface a couple feet off the ground, which pretty much meant my desk in my situation, and that's valuable space for my clutter; 2) the steam comes out of slits on the eye part, and I wish it came out of his nose like a real dragon! But otherwise I'd highly recommend this humidifier.

I got the dragon based purely, of course, on how awesome dragons are. I wish I would have gotten the penguin in the video review that somebody else did, due to the direction that that one shot the vapor. I thought the dragon would be like the penguin and direct the vapor up and away, perhaps out of the nose. Instead, the vapor comes out of.... the top of the eyelids?? Yep, the top of the eyelids. Pretty unique dragon in that regard. The result, aside from the failed aesthetics, is that the vapor goes straight up and falls on the dragon & the surface you placed it on, and gets redirected easily by the slightest of air currents. If I had the penguin, I could have directed the vapor to go right over my sleeping head. Instead, I get a wet nightstand, even after standing it atop a one foot tall box, which, incidentally, I never wanted on my nightstand but now must be there to help mitigate the moisture problem.Customer Review: cute outside but it's an older design inside.

My first crane was a green frog from 3,4 years ago. it ran for 2 winters and a black rubber part inside (submerged in water all the time) was falling apart.
I bought a new crane duck from my local store this year. I noticed the new design inside and there is no rubber part anywhere. the front knob can also now turn on and off the unit.
it works so well that i decided to buy another one on amazon. But it turned out that, this dragon shape humidifier from amazon does have the black rubber part inside and the knob is only for turning up and down the mist level. there is an additional on/off button in the back (older design)
still a great buy and good value!

I had seen cute animal-shaped dehumidifiers in the past, and really wanted to get one. When I started looking at the reviews, I was torn; despite the fact there were more positive reviews than negative reviews, I was still a bit hesitant after reading the poorer reviews. After some contemplation, ("I really want a cute animal-shaped dehumidifier, how can I justify buying one?"), I decided that I really, really wanted one, and I was going to hope that it worked out. So far, it has! I've had it for about a week, and it's working like a charm. I thought I'd add this review in case anyone else was having this dilemma :) If you decide to get one, I hope you like it too! By the way, I got the dragon-shaped one and it's adorableness has exceeded my expectations.
