I've had no problems with these since since I purchased them April 29, 2008. On a positive note and as some have mentioned, the new pair I just received today has the nose rest pieces permanently (via tiny screw) attached and the edge of the lens is painted black. The reason I had to replace them was due to having forgotten them on top my head, falling off, and receiving a nice big scratch in the field of view. The case the new pair came in is quite different too...kind of liked the old one with the magnets actually. The replacement pair: Cross Melville Collection Matte Silver Rimless Reading Glasses, 2.00
