My second one. Had first at least 8 years. I love the crowing rooster alarm, effective but gentle way to wake up. Afterwards, a woman's voice states the time, very handy when half asleep or in a dark room. Flat design makes it difficult to accidentally knock on floor. Very easy to set.Customer Review: PERFECT

I bought this for my 61 year old dad, who can not focus on the clock to tell the time. He totally loves it, he can understand the time perfectly and the voice also tells the time on the hour, so he always knows what time it is even if he doesnt press the button.Customer Review: talking clock

I purchased this clock for 92 year old lady with macular degeneration. She said it was God sent. She loves it! It helps her keep track of the time by a push of the button. It was difficult for her to understand the speech at first, but now it is no problem.Customer Review: talking alarm clock

The clock is smalland handy--BUT--spoken times are sometimes hard or impossible to understand. Some times are garbled and the talker has trouble with fives and nines. This product is a great accomodation for my Mother-in-Law who has macular degeneration and uses hearing aids. The product would be super if only it incorporated a deeper male voice to make it understandable from distances of 10 or more feet across the room.
