I have IC and this product has definiely helped. I had tried Elmiron which had too many side effects. I had reached the point that I would try anything. It took a couple of months before it kicked in, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. I do wish it was a prescription drug as it's quite expensive, but I'll continue taking it as it's the only medication that's helped my IC with almost no side effects. I purchased it on Amazon as it's cheaper than other sites I've found it on.Customer Review: fabulous product

Cystoprotek is a marvelous product. I have used it for about 2 years with pyriduim for interstitial cystitis and have had great results. I had researched a liquid product that I would have had to buy from Canada (not FDA approved in USA) and have inserted by a nurse in my urologist's office every month at a cost of $200 a shot! Needless to say, I was thrilled to have come across this oral product at a significant savings that has been quite effective. Way to go Alaven!Customer Review: Great product

This is a great product. These are easy to swallow and have no aftertaste. I have had IC for over 15 years and it wasn't until I combined this with my weekly bladder instillations that I finally got relief. Unfortunately it doesn't work without my instillations but I can go longer between instillations when I take this product regularly. It does increase urgency for a couple hours when you first start taking it; that went away after a couple of weeks.Customer Review: Cystoprotek

I beleive this product has helped in healing the gag layer of the bladder, however I also believe an IC diet is crucial to the healing process. I have used a Certified Nutritionist who suggested another supplement, X-Viromen. This product helped on the cellular level by boosting the immune system. There are many variables in the healing process of IC patients and every body is different. Don't give up, there is light at the end of the tunnel.Customer Review: Not for Sensative Stomachs

I had difficulty taking this product because it irritated my stomach and pre-existing GERD. It contains glucosamine and I've never been able to stomach that either. I'm disappointed of course. But there is no point curing one condition if its going to aggravate another.
The instructions indicate those with sensative stomachs should take a lesser dose, but alas that didn't work for me. I might try it again in the future.
