Customer Reviews of Derby Extra Double Edge Razor Blades - 25 CtCustomer Review: To many cuts to little comfort. Summary: 2 Stars
The Derby blades are by far the worst blades I have used since I changed to DE shaving. The nicks and cuts I got in one shave left my face feeling like it had been on the losing side of a knife fight. I could feel every stroke of the razor because the blade did not run across my beard in a smooth manner. After trying Dorco, Derby, Merkur and Persona, for my face type I will stick with Persona and Merkur from now on.
Customer Review: Great bargain alternative Summary: 5 Stars
When I recently switched to a double edge razor, I was given 3-10 packs of the Merkur blades. That lasted me about 30 weeks as I replace a blade a week. This is a huge savings over what the "Big" razor companies want you to believe you need. These Derby blades are about half the price of the Merkur blades, and I can't tell a difference! They still last about a week for me. Definitely recommend them!
Customer Review: First time user, no problems, no cuts. Summary: 4 Stars
I've only begun to shave my old grey beard the old-fashioned way. These Derby blades are my first "Safety Razor" blades. Worked well, not a single nick or cut yet. I've used the first blade for a couple weeks now, and have not even flipped it over yet to use the underneath side. I don't know yet how long it lasts. But obviously these are MUCH cheaper than big-name but lame "modern" razors.
Customer Review: outstanding razor blade - try it!! Summary: 5 Stars
please read my reviews - bottom line a great razor blade! but try other sample blades/packs first. make sure that derby is one of the samples. if you end up loving the blade (usually because it works as well as many other blades and the cost/cheap price) then do yourself a huge favor and buy the 100 blades box.you will spend approx 11 cents a blade plus get a free arko shaving soap.
Customer Review: May be sharpest Razor in known world, Summary: 5 Stars
I've tried them all and keep coming back to Derby blades. These blades stand up to ANY beard. Start wet shaving with a Double Edge razor and tell those Plastic Razor guys to take a hike. You'll be saving money and enjoying the shave a lot more. I do suggest using a quality shaving cream,ie. Clinique Cream Shave, Speick, etc.
