These blades are great. They are very sharp but not Katana sharp like the feathers brand. The are a middle of the road blade that are great for beginner or intermediate shavers. Please note that like any safety razor blade, they are a LOT sharper than disposable/cartridge blades so be mindful while you are shaving. But with good technique you should suffer nothing worse than the occasional nic.Customer Review: Amazing blades for an amazing price.

This is my first go at using derby razors. Though they aren't exactly the sharpest I've used, they certainly work the best when it comes to the amount of pressure I apply on the skin. My first shave with these blades left my face the smoothest I've felt in recent memory. I used it along side Conks bayrum glycerin shave soap and a merkur 180. It's definitely worth the price. At 15 cents a blade this product should exceed your expectations. The blades aren't as sharp as some other blades I have used, but those other blades have cost me as much as $1.40 a blade so I'm more than happy with these. They cut beautifully to the face surface without creating any irritation, something my sensitive skin is prone to getting. I've tried Derby Extras in several razors (adjustable, fixed, open-comp, closed), and each time I load a new one, it feels like the 1-week-old blade of some other brand that I just discarded. I understand these work wonders for some people, but this long-time DE shaver isn't among them. They always required at least one more pass than my other blades for the same result.Customer Review: Excellent Value

I felt like this gives a smoother easier shave than the Merkur blades, which are the only other ones I've tried previously. I'm using the blades in my Merkur Futor razor and get an excellent shave for the value. Buy these and a decent double edge shaver and do away with the stupid marketing hype and pollution that gillette and shick have been foisting on us for years.
