I was very eager to receive the DevaCurl product only to be totally disappointed in the end result.
Being an avid buyer of wavy/curly hair creams I expect a certain feel, texture and shine. This product has so much alcohol in it, and felt it as soon as I applied the first dollop to my towel dried hair. I knew right then and there I was not going to like it.
I always scrunch after fingering the cream/gel then I scrunch with a towel and let air dry. The effects are always dramatic once my hair is dry and I can scrunch it with my hair flipped forward. This product left my hair sooo dry, brittle even! The curls are there (they can't go anywhere), so yeah, it kept my waves, and people did compliment my hair, but inside I knew it was not what i wanted. I got bounce, got managed curls, but not soft at all.
I can work with it, but doubt I'll buy another bottle again. I love the price, love the size, but don't love the product.
