So I used bought a hair razor to save money on a fancy new haircut. I wanted bangs and to lighten the weight of my hair and add texture by razoring here and there. Never done it before so I was careful in finding a product that was cheap but efficient. Overall it will do the job but really it is all about technique. Maybe with a little practice it would be easier but for first time users be careful. I cut my hair wrong and ended up at the salon anyways. I asked her to use the razor blade to achieve the effect I wanted. She was going crazy with it (I have - or had - really long hair) and now my hair is a lot lighter and has body. I couldn't do the same with the razor on my own hair all over, just the bangs. So if you're getting it for a DIY job, ask a friend to help. Basically, the product is sturdy, sharp, easy to clean, there doesn't seem to be a need for the attachments since I've seen professionals use only one style of blade.
