I've suffered from IBS (diarrhea form)from the age of 16 - now at the age of 40, the majority of my life has been spent either running to or spotting out the nearest toilet. I've had countless of times I've had to miss out or cancel on picnics, hikes, walking on the beach etc due to fear of not being able to make it to the nearest toilet. I've avoided every food in the book (anything fried, no fast food, certain fruits, cereals, etc) that I've supposed to and nothing worked, except for not eating at all (I'd literally fast for at least two days prior to any airplane trip anywhere and this was how I lost 20 pounds while on a trip to Europe) but what kind of life is this to live?
I tried this stuff immediately when I heard about it - didn't even have any hope of it working - I would literally go through at least 8 - 10 Kaopectate pills a day, which never even helped at all. I had special mixes made up for me at pharmacies, sludge that looked like cement - that never helped. Even when I lived on oatmeal, bananas, everything that they tell you to eat if you have a "tender tummy" - mine was a raging volcano since my teens. I would quiet any doctor that had any advice that I "surely hadn't tried yet" by asking them if and how many times they'd soiled themselves out in public. Gee - now what's your answer? Can't hear you!
To the point - this stuff truly works. Have been using two pills a day for two months now and only had maybe two episodes of diarrhea - with the stomach flu. Other than that - I've eaten every forbidden food - even my beloved mango that I had to give up - and everything is smooth sailing!! MIRACULOUS!!

I was beginning to show symptoms of IBS around April 2006. It would often come and go. Around September 2006 I had an acupunture session which cleared it until about two months ago when I experience severe stress and the symptoms never went away. I couldn't eat anything without exhibiting symptoms. I finally went to the doctor again and he prescribed medications which only aggravated the symptoms. While researching online some alternative medications, I came across Digestive Advantage and raced to the nearest Pharmacy. I began taking it immediately. The first symptom that disappeared was the burning feeling in my upper and lower intestines. The gas became a little more severe during the first week. The urgency began to subside during the second week. If I ate organic and soy foods I rarely had urgency, however I still could not eat anything in certain restaurants until the second week and even now certain restaurants and foods still aggravate my stomach. I am able to digest small amounts of milk products like cheese, but have not been brave enough to try milk yet. I still have about a week of the pills to take but the results are truly amazing.
I may need to purchase another months supply since my stomach was so aggravated but at only $10 for a months supply, being able to eat food again and feel such relief it is worth it. I recommend anyone suffering to purchase it and see the difference hopefully you will have the same results if not better. I actually had a Starbucks latte today(with soymilk) with only a little aggravation because of the coffee not the soy

I thought I wrote a review for this already...? Anyhow, my experience with this product started many years ago and I began purchasing it on a consistent basis from either my local grocery or my local Wal-Mart. Sometimes one or the other store would have a better price or a sale. I thought the value of purchasing this in bulk from Amazon.com was very good. Unfortunately, when I received my package, I noticed that the title of the product listed the capsules in the wrong quantity (96 on the title and 92 on the box). I contacted Amazon and they were prompt in responding with my options. I chose a partial refund, which was also promptly done. I hpoe the confusion has been fixed. For me this product works quite well, helps lessen the severity of my IBS with Constipation symptoms and is really easy to take and seems safer than prescription drugs. I've had IBS with Constipation for over 10 years and aside from trying Prescription Zelnorm (until I lost my insurance), this is one of the few products that make any positive difference. It takes some patience, however, and diligence. Going off this certainly affected me within days, so I try to remember to include this in my limited budget. I don't believe this product would help every single IBS sufferer, but it's a big relief to me and I recommend anyone who is having trouble with their IBS symptoms give this a try. A few months' worth of trying is well worth the minimal cost. I suggest you do talk to you doctor though, because even "medical food" and "natural" medicines can cause issues. I have been taking this product for over 6 months now. I have waited to write a review, believing this product is too good to be true. It is not. I have my life back.
I used to have severe stomach pain after eating many things...most things. It was like a terrible pressure, cramping feeling in my upper abdomen. Then my lower abdomen. Even when I was lucky and the pain wasn't severe, it was always there. I had went to various doctors, including three gastroenterologists. None of them could help me. They couldn't find anything physiologically wrong with me. All I know is that I cried myself to sleep at night, almost every night.
I don't know how I came across this product. I think was desperate and searching for cures. I had tried everything from expensive aloe supplements to herbal treatments to probiotics. None of them helped much. Then I tried this. Within a week, I felt normal. I was at the point where I could hardly eat many things including many fruits, salads, and whole grains. I can now eat pretty much what I want (barring a few still ill-tolerated foods like bananas, melons, and avocado). I don't care. I will take it! No more pain after corn, salads, apples, etc. No more constant, nagging gas pain and pressure.
All I know is that this stuff works. I am so sure of it that I am on auto-ship with Amazon. This is a good price and I'll keep ordering it for as long as it's made. Thank goodness for the internet...without it, I would still be searching for answers to my pain and suffering.

I went on the subscribe & save through Amazon for this product. I have taken months worth of this supplement only to find myself in my usual misery.
I started out taking one a day. No results for about a week (I have IBS-D). Then I became severly constipated. Very painfull. I started to take organic psyllium & next thing I know, I'm become much more normal. This combination of Digestive Advantage & psyllium seemed to be the answer. After about 3 weeks of "success" IBS-D became more and more persistant. I started to take 2 Digestive Advantage pills. One in the AM & one in the PM. Things seemed to get normal again after about a week and a half. This lasted for about 3 weeks as before and once again IBS-D started & really kicked in. I upped my intake of Digetive Advantage to 3 and 4 pills a day & stopped taking the psyllium. Nothing. It didn't work. I then thought maybe I'm getting crazy with the Digestive Advantage & went back to one pill a day. All these months & nothing. I still suffer from IBS-D. As of writing this, I'm still taking the Digestive Advantage & will do so until it is gone. I have canceled my Subscribe & Save plan with Amazon.
I am currently on the Subscribe & Save for Align. So far I'm not sure if it's working. It's too early to tell. It can take several months. I have read great reviews from IBS suffers. I hope this will finally help me!
If Digestive Advantage doesn't work for you, you may want to look into Align as I have done.
