Halleluiah! Thanks to all the positive feedback for this product on this site, I decided to try it. I have IBS pretty severely and nothing else that I've tried worked. So, I was skeptical but thought it was worth a try. I was pleasantly surprised how well it works. It took a couple-three weeks for marked differences to be observed but I can say that it started getting progressively better after the first week of taking these pills and now its orders of magnitude better. Digestive Advantage seems to be a popular company and sells enough of this pro-biotic to ensure that it is fresh--which is a problem with buying stuff at the health food stores sometimes. Anyways, I'm still pinching myself to make sure this is real...it is. I would highly recommend this product AND the Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerance product as they both have made a HUGE improvement to my quality of life.Customer Review: My Husband's Bowel Difficulites were much better in just two days

My husband who is 55 has been experiencing many of the symptoms that you will read in other reviews. I decided to get Digestive Advantage IBS for him, since the RXs his doctor gave him have proven to be of no help, and in some cases made the symptoms worse. Knowing that this product is considered to be a food, and not an RX, I was a bit skeptical about how it was going to work, but with all the problems he's had, I decided to give it a try. My huband and I are amazed at how quickly it cleared up his problems. I have never had to remind him to take it, because he noticed the positive effects of this digestive aid right away. I am no doctor, but I have seen the positive effects in my husband and we are getting it on the subscription program offered. He takes two tabs a day. I am very pleased because he is no longer in agony and I love to see him pain & symptom free.Customer Review: Takes 2 weeks but its worth it!

This is good stuff and I consider myself to have severe IBS. In fact, I'm worse off than most. This product doesnt work instantly, but like the directions say: it takes about 2 weeks to get it working.
What it did for me was decrease the frequency that I had to go. Instead of 8 trips to the bathroom throughout the day, its now more like 2, maybe 3.
I use to have "to go" immediately after or even during a meal; but now I dont and that is really wonderful because sometimes you're in a social setting and you hate to jump up from the table and run to the bathroom each time your friends and family have lunch or dinner with you.
Its been wonderful. Its not a cure and it doesn't make you "normal" as other people's stomachs already are; but it does decrease the amount of times you SUDDENLY have "to go" in one day and that, is WONDERFUL!

Bought this product because I read all the reviews, and I was hopeful that it would improve things for me. I have had severe IBS-D for 5 years now following a cholecystectomy, and I have not seen ANY improvement after having taken this for almost 2 months. I also took 2 capsules a day since it said some people might do better with 2 instead of 1. I will finish the box, but will not be trying this again. I did not expect it to do miracles, but after 50 days, I expect to see some changes. Nothing. I still get strong cramps 3-5 times daily and have to run to the bathroom. I have tried the herbal remedies, the pro-biotic remedies, fiber, and the doctor approved medicines (amitriptyline, hyoscyamine, dicyclomine, and many more) and nothing has worked for me. I am serverely lactose intolerant and was having problems with the lactaid pills that you take as you eat. I was never sure how many to take, if I took too many, or not enough. Consequently, they never seemed to work for me and I never felt at ease eating dairy. With much doubt, I decided to try the One a Day Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerant Pills and they have been working great! During the first couple of weeks I had some stomach upset, pains, etc. but now after being on it for 2 months, I can safely say that I eat whatever I want! I'll even have a dish of ice cream w/ no affects after eating pizza! It does work. Give the pill some time (or maybe it's time for your stomach to heal) and you will see how great it is. It's changed my life and my daughter's and it's convenient not to carry the other pills around w/ us. Try it!!
