Customer Reviews of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Pure-Castile Soap, 18-in-1 Hemp Unscented Baby Mild, 32-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2)Customer Review: Not mild, not impressed Summary: 1 Stars
Our 11 month old started crying during her baths when we'd wash her. We'd rock her and shush her and then it'd be fine. And then it would happen the next night. Her eyes and eyebrows would be red. Suddenly, she had terrible red blisters on her little private part area and we realized it was the soap that was doing this to her. Blisters, red swollen, and even bleeding a few days later. We got our ND to give us some silver gel to put on each diaper change and that has slowly cured it but we will never ever use this again on her or any of our children.
Ironically, my husband and I use the peppermint version of this soap and LOVE it and haven't had a single problem with it.
Customer Review: Skin irritation, stinging and red spots - Dr. Bronner's soap Summary: 1 Stars
Fascinated with this legendary natural soap that is good for the environment, I bought the unscented baby-mild and several scented bars. Strangely, my little son and husband with sensitive skin had no problem with it. But, my daughter and I, who both have normal skin, found it stinged in certain areas. After two days of use, I had several little itchy red spots all over, and my daughter cryed to have me use it on her. Needless to day, I stopped using it for the whole family. The soap is also very watery, so after I diluted it, in a squirt bottle, it was even more watery. I guess I can still use it in the dishwasher, or for floor soap as it is recommended.
Customer Review: Works great, feels good Summary: 4 Stars
I love this item. It was originally given to me by my mother in law for laundry - I gave it four out of five stars because I don't feel like it got my infant son's clothes very well, but I love it for bathing purposes. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't make me itch or dry out.
Make sure you use a strong conditioner if you use it to wash your hair - I only use it to strip my hair, once every other week. DO NOT GET IN YOUR EYES! I made this mistake.
A previous poster commented on the weird religion-based sayings on the bottle. Nothing says you have to read or agree with them.. I personally don't like them but I like the product.
Customer Review: Multi-purpose mild soap can even use on baby! Summary: 5 Stars
I tried this product because it was recommended to me by my pediatrician's office after my baby developed mild eczema. I saw results fairly quickly after using this product. It's organic, unscented and gentle on my baby's sensitive skin. I also believe that it neutralizes the effects of hard water. Since then, I have stopped using Johnson & Johnson Baby Wash which I noticed was making her skin flare up often. I have used this product as a shampoo on myself and will soon start to use it as a detergent on my baby's laundry. This is a great alternative soap for infants with skin sensitivities and/or eczema or anyone struggling with skin sensitivity in general.
Customer Review: Excellent, truly NATURAL soap Summary: 5 Stars
All you need to do is look at the ingredients. It's all natural, organic, no weird chemicals, no unnecessary fragrance. Even the other so-called natural baby soaps out there have a list of ingredients 10 miles long.
The only thing that prevents this from being the PERFECT baby soap is that it isn't tear free, so you'll need to use another product when it comes to washing Baby's hair. I considered taking one star off for this, but decided that since no other tree free product comes remotely close to matching this, it still deserves 5 stars.
For every day body baths, nothing beats this soap.
