You will love this ostoscope. The light works great and you can see the eardrum with no problem....You can even see the little capillaries in the ear. This is definantly WELL worth the price and you can easily see if an infection is present.

My son has ear infections all of the time. We live in a rural area without many doctors. So getting in to see one is hard. Before the otoscope we were going to the Doctor's office every month. My son has had two sets of tubes. I ordered a otoscope from you and it was amazing. I didn't have to take him in every time he was pulling at his ear. It has saved me hundreds of dollars in doctor's appoinments. When he does have an ear infection I take him and the doctor is always impressed that I knew. Infact I have gotten to the point that if he developes an ear infection after hours I can call the doctor and the medication is ready to pick up without an appointment (We do follow up shortly after the next day or so). This otoscope is really great for those times when you suspect something is wrong, but you're not quite sure. It takes a bit of practice to get used to what you are looking at, but with some time, you'll be able to tell if it is time to consult your professional medical staff or take care of the situation at home. Great product for a quick peek. Practice on people when their ears are well, so you can see the difference when someone is experiencing ear problems. This product is just as described and works well. I'm sure the doctor's office otoscope is better but for a mom who just wants to check to see if an office visit is needed it works perfectly. I practiced on my hubby first and that really helps. The info. included is also very helpful. This is a good product at a good price.
