Customer Reviews of Dr. Scholl's DR6624 Toe-Touch Foot Spa with Bubbles and MassageCustomer Review: very gentle vibrate feature Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, a decent foot spa, especially considering the price. Agreeing with an earlier reviewer, the "massage" feature is really a very gentle vibration, which did relax my feet more than I thought it would. The heat function is nice, adequate, but doesn't keep the water hot for quite as long as higher-end models I've tried. Fine for 20 minutes, though. The blue hood IS removable. It takes a little bit of force, but it's obvious from the construction that it is supposed to come off, and it certainly makes it much easier to clean. I am returning mine after the first use because the bubble feature for the right foot doesn't work, a problem an early reviewer ran into as well . . . I'm concerned about how long the product will last, since arriving broken is not an auspicious beginning, so I may spend a few extra dollars to try to find something that will last longer.
Customer Review: decent for the price Summary: 4 Stars
Reading through the other reviews of this product, the two things that concerned me the most were 1) the ability of the spa to keep water hot, and 2) the noise produced by the unit.
Having used the foot spa, I find it to be acceptable, considering the price and the fact that a foot bath one step up (the Brookstone) was three times the price.
With regard to 1), I found that as long as you fill the unit with hot water to begin with, it can keep it hot for at least twenty minutes, long enough for me. As for 2), I would agree with other reviewers who say the noise is comparable to a vacuum cleaner, though only on the second setting where it produces bubbles. On the first setting, the noise is about half of the second setting, and it's possible to use, say, while watching TV without needing to turn the volume up very much.
Customer Review: Somewhat Disappointed Summary: 3 Stars
Have had this for 2 weeks. First use, OK, felt good, nice bubbles but the attachments for the top didn't connect tight enough to stay on when you ran your foot over it. The attachment for inside the tub felt uncomfortable. Second use, felt good until I turned on the bubbles, not working on right side. It does keep the water warm. Now I have a foot spa from many years ago, no bells, no whistles just bubbles- it splashes all over the floor, is big & heavy plus water gets cold in minutes so you bale out & pour in hot water to keep it warm. The Dr. Scholl's is small, light weight but big enough for hubbies size 12 feet & comfortable to use if you just want to soak your feet with vibration plus water does stay warm. The foot control is an added plus, electrical cord is long enough, cleaning ability OK.
Customer Review: Worked for me, as well. Summary: 5 Stars
WARNING: NOT for persons with diabetes or if you have an open cut on the foot. (From the tag on the AC power cord.) Do NOT stand up in it -- it will break from your weight! (From the manual.) Recommended session length: 10 min. Max time turned on for one session: 20 min (from the manual). That said, it works for me. I used the elbow test to select desired tap water temperature, poured it into the foot spa, and turned on the vibrator/heater. Ten min. later -- enough for me -- temperature seemed the same to my elbow. The spa is very noisy when the "bubble machine" function is turned on; sounds like a 1950s vacuum cleaner. I'll do without that feature. It holds five pints of water to the --MAX-- fill line; its design makes it v-e-r-y easy to lift and empty without fear of spill.
Customer Review: Well worth it Summary: 4 Stars
I got this as a Christmas gift and have been pleased with it. It really softens my feet and makes them feel great. The only complaint I have is that it is a little noisy. But what can you expect for something that massages and creates bubbles? We can still watch TV while it is running, so it isn't too noisy. The water stays warm for the 20 minutes that it recommends you run it for, but it doesn't make the water warmer, so make sure to follow the instructions and put warm water in it. I don't care for the attachments, the rolling one is above the water level. The flatter one is fine, but the nubs in the bottom of the massager are adequate. The cord has been plenty long enough every time I've plugged it in. Well worth the money.
