My wife bought me one at a Target store, the typical one with the "flat" surface touching your eyes. After reviewing several sleep mask I decided to give a chance to this one due to the design of it; I simply don't regret about buying this one. As you can see the design of the mask lets you open your eyes without any restriction. Some of the reviews that I read said that it doesn't block completly the light, and they are right, but it also depends on your nose shape. I personally think that it's impossible to completly bock the light from going in thru the mask with an unique nose design.
No regrets or complaints at all with this mask. From the beginning I don't use it very tight but loose and it's comfortable for an all night sleep.

I have been looking to buy a sleep mask. Because of the high reviews on Amazon and the contour shape for the eyes, I bought this one. Wore it at 4am this morning and slept a couple extra hours. It was soft on my face. I like the contoured shape for the eyes like I expected. The head band was elastic so it is easy to put on and remove. I don't know about the other reviewers, but this one fit my head and face where no lights came it. BTW, when I removed them at 9am this morning, my curtain were open and it was BRIGHT in my room when I removed them. So in short, they worked!! I know someone who has a night shift and sleeps from 5am to 1pm. I am buying him a pair and I am getting another extra one for myself. Good buy! Thanks.Customer Review: I'm impressed!

I sleep much better with this sleep mask, because it blocks the light so effectively. It's comfortable on my face and the foam material is very opaque. Sometimes a little light creeps in around my nose, but I can usually shift it to block almost everything. The contours keep it off my eyes, although my fiance, who has been blessed with long eyelashes, says he wishes the contours were deeper because his eyelashes rub on the inside of the mask.
My one complaint is the way the two straps connect in the back. It attaches with velcro, but when I lay on my back, the velcro makes a bump under my head which can be annoying. I wish the velcro was near the front, right where the strap begins.

The strap for this uses velcro. The "adjustability" of it is negligible. They could have done so much better with just a regular elastic strap. The velcro piece leaves a hard area that sometimes discourages me from sleeping on my back and side sleeping with this doesn't work fabulously. Also depending on how soft your pillow case is, any open velcro might stick to it.
It does keep out light very well (the nose thing isn't really a big deal). The eye-bulges are a welcome addition and for the price it's pretty awesome! If you are looking for something that is extremely comfortable and blocks out absolutely every bit of light, I might suggest looking elsewhere.

I'm a light sleeper, so blocking out ALL lights helps me a lot. Regular masks don't block all of the light, and the elastic is always too tight or too loose. Solution: this form-fitting soft foam mask with a velcro closure so you can adjust the fit! Brilliant! I also like that the eye mask makes "bubbles" over your eyes - it's more comfortable, and when I wake up, there's no wrinkle marks on my face, or line indentations that you can get from elastic straps.
The travel pouch and ear plugs are a nice touch - I'm saving them for when I go on vacation. This would make a nice gift for someone visiting you and they don't sleep well in a strange bed.
