Customer Reviews of Dropps Laundry Pacs, Fresh Scent, 20-load pouch (pack of 3)Customer Review: little drops of gold Summary: 5 StarsWhat a great product. I used to have Tide Tabs a few years ago. They were quite handy but taken off the market. These little laundry pacs are great because there is no wrappers. Just drop them into the wash and it all gets dissolved. There is no big bulky laundry jugs to carry from the store. No mess like when you try to pour from the jugs that are new and it is too heavy to handle. I think these are great and hope they stick around for a long time to come.
Customer Review: Laundry Dropps Summary: 5 StarsGreat product, easy...just toss in the washer...nothing to cut open or to throw away. Delivered promptly every month.
Customer Review: Convenient, effective and good for environment Summary: 5 StarsThese are excellent, easy to carry around, no mess, and good for environment! And the wash is clean! It is great!
Customer Review: Casing does not dissolve in cold water Summary: 2 StarsI've noticed the the clear casing does not dissolve in cold water very well. Goopy, unattractive splotches of sticky stuff attach to my clothes and I need to send it through the wash again or wash them manually-- not convenient.
Since using cold water to do one's laundry is better for the environment than using hot water (less energy spent), it's ironic that this product works so poorly in cold water wash.
Customer Review: Here's An Idea Summary: 3 StarsI haven't tried these drops, but I use the similar type for the dishwasher. You're right, there IS the potential mess from leaking.
HERE's AN IDEA: Up until about 18 months ago, I used prepackaged DRY detergent that came in packages of two disks...it was put out by Quixtar, part of AMWAY.
The product was so very handy...easy to slip a couple in the carry-on suitcase for a trip...somehow the AMWAY folks missed the class in "Supply and Demand"...and they discontinued the disks...I think they were called "SAS".
At any rate, they were very handy.
Perhaps "dropps" could dry out and become "disks"...?
I, for one, would buy them! The disks are super-convenient.
