After order arrived, husband and son made comments and jokes about the appearance of the soap BUT after trying it one time they have changed their minds....This soap leaves such a clean, refreshing feeling and a wonderful scent on your skin. We have hard water in our area, and while we have a softener, it is still noticeable. This soap eliminates that 'slimey' feeling after showering. While it does leave the washcloth stained, it is a small inconvenience.
The most impressive thing I liked about it was the way it leaves my face feeling....softer and cleaner than any other product I've ever used.
The existing soaps and body washes we have in the linen closet will be given to a shelter and replaced with the Black Soap.

Unlike any soap you'll ever buy. I have given so many bars out as gifts. Everyone that try's it buy's it. After you use this, swipe your hand down your arm or leg to remove excess water and discover your hand does not slide down. Why? because there is no film or residue that commercial soaps leave. It is said that the properties in this soap help pull skin cells together to give a more youthful appearance to the skin along with many more healing degrees. Do the research. I keep my du du osun in an unbleached cotton soap bag. This bag is a great way to store it. You can find it on Eco [...]. The soap bag is also a wash cloth. I bought this soap back in early August and noticed wonderful change in my skin. My used to be always oily skin that would get blackheads and breakouts became my dryish skin that only gets small ever-fading nose blackheads and a couple small zits. It gives a fantastic clean that means I can skip one day without a shower and not feel absolutely disgusting like I used to. It didn't make my acne scar disappear but my skin does have a much more even complexion. It's down to a state that I can tolerate and not feel self-concious about. After reading all of the reviews online, I brought this soap. I brought it because; I was looking for something that would help clear up my oily skin and fine acne. So far, I am pleased with the result. My face is not as oily as it use to be and my fine acne is gone. I have been using it for over a month and it is the best soap I've ever used. It lathers very well and rinses of clean, no soap residue. Be sure to moisturize after using it because it can leave your skin very dry.
