Customer Review: Great rechargeable AA batteries

Most of my critical electronic accessories require AA batteries and these Duracells are about as good as they come. These batteries hold a charge very well, and of course by being rechargeable they very quickly "pay for themselves" as compared to standard alkaline batteries.
The really nice thing about these batteries is that they hold a charge for a long time. Years ago rechargeable batteries, even if not used and left dormant after charging, would quickly lose their charge. Not these batteries. So, for example, if I place four of them in the TV remote control in my boat (which I take out maybe every 6 weeks during the season) these batteries will typically be good not only between voyages, but for most or all of the summer. These batteries are also great for camera flash units, most of which take AA batteries.
These are really fine batteries. Highly recommended. RJB.

Update 12/08...After some time I've discovered that they do, in fact, a noticeable increase in shelf life. They really are the only choice in re-chargeables. 5*****
I bought these Hybrid battery's after learning that NiMH are known to drain quickly even while being unused. I did noticed something wasn't right as I would have to charge them every 2 weeks or so in my Canon S2 camera.
Well, it's been 2 weeks with the pre-charged and guess what, I have a low battery indicator on the camera but have been nursing them along just to see how long it will take for the camera to shut down. I also bought the AAA for a electric pepper mill and they're still going after about a month but the regular alkaline lasted a few months so I'm still not convinced if these really are any better in high drain devices.

These batteries are more like the standad alkaline coppertop batteries and less like past rechargeable batteries I've used. They have a much longer shelf life than rechargeables of the past. These batteries came pre charged, just like a standard alkaline duracell battery. In the past, this was not possible because previous generation rechargeable had a short shelf life and would lose much of their charge during shipping. These arrived fully charged. I purchased a new LED flashlight at the same time and put the batteries into the flashlight upon arrival. The batteries, though duracell rechargables, performed similar to new duracell alkaline batteries. I've been using them every day for about 3 weeks now with no sign of losing power. I definetely would recommend these to a friend.Customer Review: Thus far have provided impressive longevity

When used as a pair inside a point-and-shoot digital camera, they lasted for at least a couple of hundred shots, several of which were with the flash on, without showing any signs of being close to running out of juice.
When used inside the JBL On Stage IIIP Portable Speaker Dock for iPhone 1G and iPod (Black) they (six of these batteries) provided a couple of hours of music at high volume.
Charging four of them together can take several hours on a Canon CBK-100 AA NIMH Rechargeable Battery and Charger Kit for A10, A20, A30, A40, A60, A70, A80, A100, A200 & A300

I now have sixteen of these batteries and they all work flawlessly. I use them to power my TV remote, 2 xbox360 controllers, a digital camera and keep some spares charged and ready to swap out. I love these batteries and I've turned some friends to getting them too. They love em too. I've read some reviews that they do not charge all the way. I too had this problem but it was due to a faulty charger. I didn't want to give up on these batteries when the charger finally broke so I bought a new charger(duracell) and they get fully charged all the time and last a very long time. I've been using them with the new charger for over a year now and I haven't had any problems. Get these batteries and you'll never go back to regular(nonchargeable)batteries again.
