Customer Reviews of Duracell AA 4 Pre-Charged Rechargeable NiMH Batteries DX1500Customer Review: Enviromentally Better. Summary: 5 Stars
You cant argue that rechargeable battery's are better for the environment simply for the fact that there is less waste, but the problem with many rechargeable batteries are they simply don't hold a charge. I have NOT found this to be the same case with the Duracell PreCharged line. In a simple xbox360 remote I can play for at least 2 weeks, many hours a night without having to recharge them. In my Digital Camera close to 200 - 300 shots. So if your looking for close to alkaline life per charge I would recommend these all day long. If your use to the long life of Lithium or titanium, rechargeable batteries are not for you.
Customer Review: Best AA Rechargeable Batteries I've Used Summary: 5 Stars
The capacity may be less on the pre-charged batteries in comparison than the other Duracell or Energizer rechargeable batteries, but I have found the longer shelf life is worth the trade-off. I typically use these batteries to power a flash unit. These batteries recycle the flash quickly and provide a solid life in that unit. With so many other uses for AA batteries I have been stocking up and replacing the single life batteries in other devices with these pre-charged batteries. Based on the price comparison and the number of uses you can get from these batteries, I know I will be saving money in the long run.
Customer Review: Loses charge quickly Summary: 1 Stars
I bought 3 packs of these (each from a different store) for use on Wii remotes. They don't hold a charge any more, and I only used them a few times each. They worked great the first time, then I noticed that each time I recharged them they would lose their charge faster and faster. I even used the discharge function on my charger, but that didn't help. In some cases, they only worked for MINUTES! I've used Sony rechargeable batteries on my Wii controllers before, and they last for HOURS. I would not recommend this product under any circumstance (unless you don't plan on recharging them).
Customer Review: Awesome Batteries Summary: 5 Stars
These things are quality. I use them mostly for my Xbox 360 / Wii controllers, and I've found that they last longer than fresh alkaline duracells. Definitely a smart buy, since they only cost a few times more than alkalines.
I recommend getting the "smart" charger for these. There's two of them, the smart and the dumb. The dumb just gives anything you put in it 6 hours of juice, regardless of if its low or not. The smart one lets you put in any combo of batteries (AA or AAA) and it gives each one only what it needs. This extends the life of the batteries significantly.
Customer Review: Some of them are DOA Summary: 3 Stars
I bought a lot of these, I think 5 pack in the total of 20 batteries.
1 of them are dead on the spot. I was like ok ... not gonna bother to return it just for 1 battery, but then another 4 of them died within the next 4-5 months.
before someone ready to bash me saying "oh you probably used the wrong charger" blah blah blah, I have a lot of NIMH charger even Duracell's own charger. it doesn't matter what you use, when a battery is dead, its dead.
The "lucky" ones are still working just fine, that's why I think this deserves a 3 star.
