Customer Reviews of Duracell Pre Charged Rechargeable NiMH AA Batteries, 4-Pack

Customer Review: One low after first charge
Summary: 3 Stars

The first time I charged the batteries one of them came up low - about 1600mAh - after leaving it on the "Refresh" (charge/discharge) cycle on my La Crosse charger it came back to 2000mAh eventually. This would go unnoticed on a basic charger that does not show mAh(which I suspect is what most people have)... Other than that I guess a battery is a battery - I would advise people to check the mAh rating when comparing...

Customer Review: Surprisingly fantastic batteries.
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been using rechargeables for years, but these are in a class of their own.

I received black top batteries, not the white top ones referred to in the previous reviews.

One pair lasted over 500 pictures in my digital camera, whereas a set of camera disposables lasted 200 and my older rechargeables only about 100. All on the same trip and similar conditions across the board in the same camera.

These are the best rechargeable batteries I have ever used. I use a La Crosse smart charger and it does a fantastic job of keeping them charged and in good shape.

It has not been long enough for me to notice any significant loss in power due to time, but I can say they keep their charge just fine for more than a month whereas my old regular rechargeables could not sit in the camera more than a few days without needing a recharge.

Hightly reccomended.

Customer Review: A large improvement.
Summary: 5 Stars

A large improvement over the old NIMH. Testing shows that these type of NIMH will lose their charge more slowly. This makes them more useful because they can be used in long term low draw items like the outdoor thermometer, alarm clock, and things that sit between uses like the pocket GPS and the underwater camera without being dead every time you need them. Yes they are similar to Enloop batteries, so what.
Now the cons- Mine did not arrive fully charged. NIMH batteries do not take a full charge for the first 2 or 3 uses. That is normal. These won't develop their full potential until you charge them and use them once or twice.
They are a definite advance. I won't get the old kind any more. Buy Them.

Customer Review: Long lasting charge
Summary: 5 Stars

I use four of these batteries at a time in my Fuji camera. Before the Pre-Charged batteries came on the market my regular rechargeable batteries lasted less than three weeks even if I didn't use the camera at all. I became used to changing out the batteries everytime I planned to use the camera. But no more. Now I can simply pick up the camera and use it everytime. The batteries don't have to be replaced until I have taken many pictures.

Customer Review: Not really "pre-charged"
Summary: 1 Stars

When an item is advertised as "pre-charged and ready to use, straight out of the pack," I expect that charge to last longer than two photos on a standard point&shoot digital camera. Amazon ought to remove this claim from the product page.
