I love this shoe horn. The others I have owned were plastic and all cracked easily making it useless. The spring on this makes it easier to fit your shoes at any angle without hurting your feet or having to stand in an awkward position. I have been using the shoehorn and it is great, most of the time but a couple of times the horn has come apart from the handle because there is nothing holding it fast with the exception of the spring at the end of the handle. This worked great for about 5 uses. Then the horn bent ~ some of the other reviewers had the same problem. The product information doesn't say what the contents of this metal shoehorn are, but it appears to be as cheaply made as possible. This is a handy shoe horn, but I'm not sure that the spring hinge between the shaft and the horn is a good idea. Also, the metal horn has bent several times and while it bends back fairly easily, it may not be something that people are wanting to deal with.Customer Review: Poor design

Shoe horn is connected to the handle with a spring. The spring has stayed well connected to the handle, but it HASN'T stayed connected to the shoe horn. They need to forget the spring and have a solid connection wedding the shoe horn and handle together.
