When I first gave this to my mother-in-law she was skeptical about if she would use it. She showed it to her occupational therapist and now it travels with her on her walker along with the Duro-Med Aluminum Reacher with Magnetic Tip, 26 Inch. She is recovering from hip surgery so has limited movent and also has problems with one of her shoulders. She is thrilled at how handy it comes in. This tool is just a simple dowel with a cup hook on one end and something similar to a wire coat hook on the other. However it is an excellent aid in helping her with her independence.
