I had neck pain for 2 weeks, and wanted a supportive neck brace that would stop me from moving unnecessarily. This didn't help at all - it was too soft, and moved easily when I moved my neck, and didn't help at all.
I would return it, but the return fees might be pretty high (and I couldn't understand Amazon's return policies - if I return it for not liking it, how much money do I get back? )

It might make a good neck pillow for when you travel :-)

Description of Duro-Med Soft Foam Cervical Collar 3 Width, White, Medium

Duro-Med Soft Foam Cervical Collar offers soft comfortable support while helping to reduce head and cervical vertebrae movement. Made of soft contoured polyurethane foam, it is covered with a ribbed stockinet for air circulation while reducing heat buildup. The Soft Foam Collar has a 1.2 density foam and 33 compression rating. Featuring hook and loop closure, the collar is washable. Sizes available based on neck circumference: S (12"-13-1/2"), M (13-1/2"-15-1/2"), L (15-1/2"-17-1/2"), XL (17-1/2"-21-1/2").
