This is a very convenient and sturdy carry-all. At first I thought it seemed flimsy because the fabric is very lightweight, but it is very strong and because the pack is unstructured it folds with the wheelchair. This is great because it saves me the extra step of taking it off and folding it before I put the w'chair in the back of my van. I have stuffed books, magazines, water bottles and my purse in there taking my brother to his medical appointments. The velcro flap keeps everything inside. There are no pockets or dividers, it's like a big tote bag. I wish I had found this sooner!Customer Review: Not so great if chair has hand brakes.

I bought this when I bought a lightweight transport chair. The chair has handbrakes, that do not work well with this pack, which was promoted with that chair. The problem is that he loops used to hang this pack do not open. They are desiged to fit over the handles of the chair. However,if the chair has hand brakes, this won't work. If the loops had buckles or velcro that would allow them to be wrapped around any part of the frame, it would be great. Good size and construction, but for me to make this workable for me, I will have to do some modifications to these straps.

It works well enough, though it does not give the appearance of durability that the cloth backpacks do. Time will tell in that respect.
However, the Duro-Med backpack does have a velcro-flap to close the backpack, is relatively waterproof against light rain, can hold enough emergency gear like a change of clothes, meds, etc. I would've like some small outside pockets for easier retrieval of minor items.
I feel the price is a little high by a few dollars but I suppose it's a specialized product and these backpacks do come in handy.

I purchased this backpack for my wheel chair. It won't work with it. I have a hand brake and the loops that hold the bag to the chair....well, they won't fit around the hand brake. I didn't check this out... opps. Otherwise, it is a great bag and BIG size. I will change the loops so that it is usable.

Even thought the fabric on this pack is thin, it is very sturdy and strong. My mother has to travel with a portable oxygen tank. We're able to fit the tank and my purse in the pack with no problem. I've even stuffed a sweater in there along with them. Very, very handy.
