When you go to the doctor's office to get your earwax cleaned out, the odds are 9:1 that they're using this syringe. It's a little tricky to use yourself, but it can be done. It's designed for use by someone else.

But talk about a great stream of water! Use warm water...not hot, not cold. From what I hear, if the water is too hot, you can get dizzy. If your earwax ("cerumen" is the technical term) is hard or impacted and won't wash out, try using a little Murine or other drugstore ear solution in the ear for about 10 minutes, then use the syringe to wash it out. You'll know it's working, because you'll be able to hear better right away.

I'm no doctor, but I'd suggest that you don't use this syringe with children. I suspect the tip is too long for a child's ear, and you don't want to risk any damage to the eardrum.
