The Easy Reader Book Stand, as self described, is a book stand designed to relieve physiological stress of having to lean over to read a book that is laid flat. There are 5 angles to select from; ranges from about 35 degrees to about 65 degree-ish. It is easy to adjust.
In addition to being a book stand, it doubles as a clip board. The clip doesn't have a lot of clamp force. I wouldn't rely on it too much for stability, but that's not what I mainly bought this for so, not too much of a biggie.
First because it is made of hard plastic, it feel like if I drop it from 4-5 feet, it might break (onto hard floors). I am especially concerned with the flap that holds the bottom of books. If feels like it won't be able to cope pass the stress threshold, which in past experiences has been low with this kind of hard plastic. It has held up so far and I have a lot of confidence in it that it could hold a much larger book (library-sized dictionary, anyone?)
Secondly, this doubles as a clipboard, however the flap that holds the bottom of the book folds onto the surface of the clipboard, and so there is a crease or linear divot running the length of the flap--like the linear divots between square tiles. So when you use a thin sheet of paper, your pen will punch through into the divot. This limits the actual area you can use on the board. This is irrelevant if you use a notepad, but I like to write with single sheets, so this is bothersome.
Thirdly, the flap holding the bottom of books (I am really annoyed by the flap aren't I?) is kind of short, so although you could hold a large dictionary, the pages with flop down on the sides (when book is open). I'm currently using it on a text book (about 11 x 8.5 inches) that has about 200 pages and it fits fine, but with large, short, stout books, the pages may flop.
All in all, other than these few annoyances it is great. I did my research and read reviews of other book stand and this seemed to be the best compromise between practicality, durability, and affordability.
