Been very nice having this on my desk at work. Makes working with any type of reading material a pleasure. I was a little hesitant as it is totally made of plastic, but holds the 4" book--- no problem.
I bought 2 additional ones for my kids...so that says it all.
Only 4 Stars Because:
(1) It was a bit pricy
(2) The band that holds the page down is useless as it bisects the middle of the page you are reading and I found it very distracting, so I just don't use it.

I needed a book stand which could hold legal size paperwork and large floppy paperback textbooks and it's worked out great! I use it mostly when I am studying, but also at work when I'm entering data from documents. The stand has a variety of angles which is something I especially appreciate as it helps reduce glare and makes reading much easier. It folds flat and can also double as a clipboard. I discovered the Easy Reader is a cafe in Berkeley about 15 years ago, and have used them ever since. They're fantastic. I almost never use them as a clipboard, but as a reading stand, it's indispensable. I still have my original readers, and they'veheld up very well. The elastic band that helps the two halves snap closed wears out after a while, but it's not necessary-- the reader works perfectly well without it.Customer Review: Easy Reader Reading Stand

Recommended by my chiropractor, the easy to use and comfortable Easy Reader Reading Stand has changed the ergonomics of my study habits. I'm no longer bent over the desk, slump shouldered, but sitting up straight and much more comfortable, with no back ache. The stand is light weight, sturdy and adjusts to many different levels. This stand holds my large textbooks (1,500-2,000 pages) easily. I was a little worried at first about the plastic piece on the bottom where the book sits, but it's holding up fine. The elastic band is worthless if you are flipping pages regularly. Being able to adjust the angle is wonderful, although it is a little tough to pop the holder in and out.
