Customer Review: No more chlorine chemical smell on the dishes- I switched!

I have always been put off by the smell of fragrance and chlorine from conventional dishwasher products. I used Electra-Sol citrus but still wasn't happy. I always want to know what I can do to be more eco-friendly, as well.
Ecover tablets are a hit with me on both counts after going through a full box. They really do a fantastic job of cleaning the dishes. All I did differently was go back to using a rinse agent in my dishwasher to get a top notch result, and the dishes and stemware heve never looked or smelled better. The citrus smell after using ecover is very light, not at all bothersome. Now, my food and beverages won't smell like dishwasher soap fragrance, and I won't worry about releasing excess chlorine into the water system.
I am very happy I switched.

When I 'went green' a couple years ago, I had a hard time trying to find an eco-friendly automatic dishwashing option. I tried everything, Seventh Generation, Method, everything you can think of. They were all terrible! I was worried I'd simply have to go back to using Cascade and Electrosol. Luckily, the last thing I tried were these. These work incredibly well, I don't even need to use jet dry with it. Frankly, it works 100 x's better than Cascade and Electrosol.
So, here's my final recommendation. Even if you couldn't give 2 cents about the environment, and are simply trying to find a detergent that actually gets your dishes spotless (why is that so much to ask??) then you need to use this!

After reading so much about how dishwashing soaps contain some of the nastiest chemicals that leave an invisible residue on your dishes, I wanted to find something that would be safe to use on the dishes that we eat off of every single day. I have not been disappointed with these dishwashing tablets!! They do just as good of a job as Electasol tablets and Dawn gel packs (what we were using previously). My dishes come out perfect, but if they aren't shiny enough for you, you could always add vinegar to the rinse aid dispenser. The smell of this soap is not overpowering, just a gentle clean smell. And I don't have to worry about my kids ingesting the nasty chemicals that other dishwashing soaps leave on dishes!Customer Review: The best detergent I've found

For my machine, these tablets work better than anything else I've tried, even conventional detergents. I have tried a couple of eco-friendly detergents. The seventh generation didn't work for us at all. The other kids were marginal. I was very pleased when I tried these. Not only did these clean as well as the Cascade that I had previously used, but the results were even better. And, as other reviewers said, I don't get nearly as much of the residue that I ended up with using the Cascade.
I also love the ease of the tablets and the lack of mess. I'm hooked. I'm going to put boxes of these in family members' stockings this Christmas to try to get them hooked too.
Customer Review: IT WORKS AS GOOD AS ELECTRASOL!

This works as well as the Electrasol Tablets I used previously. One recommendation would be to run water at the sink until it is hot, then turn your dishwasher on. I did this with Electrasol, and it is recommended my the manufacturer of my Frigidaire dishwasher for optimum performance. Of course, I do rinse my dishes and if anything is stuck on pretty good, I scrub it before putting it in, but I did this before using Ecover brand soap. I do live in a hard water area and that doesn't seem to effect its performance. It has also helped alleviate that rank sink drain smell you sometimes have that you can't get rid of. So, buy it and try it. Your septic system will thank you!
