Customer Review: YOU CANNOT USE MOIST HEAT WITH THIS ONE

I needed something hot to wrap around my neck that will stay one. This one sounded good because it is a collar and has a part that goes down the back. I am instructed to use moist heat, so I use the one I have, which is rectangular, with a wet towel inside the pouch. This one came with a warning in BIG letters. DO NOT GET IT MOIST OR WET. What? Apparently, if you get it wet, the gel swells up and is no good. Plus, I am an average size 5'4" woman, and it is too big, I can hardly fasten it. It is going back to Amazon.Customer Review: I totally love this product!

I have 2 herniated disks in my neck. I have good days and bad days. There are times when I take some pretty powerful pain medicine and I still can't sleep. The elasto-gel collar feels so good on my neck I am able to fall asleep. I love it so much I am ordering two more today. I have other cold packs but this is really soft and conforms to your neck. I also like the fact that I don't have to lay down to use it. Being able to velcro it around my neck still allows me to get things done around the house.Customer Review: This has to be one of the worst products I have ordered at Amazon

I have order thousands of items from Amazon, and I believe this is one of the very few times I have had to write a negative review. This product was not worth the money I paid for it, and didn't not work very well at all. I tried to return the product, but I was told since I froze the item I was no longer able to return the product. I asked the vendor how would I know if the product worked it I didn't freeze it?
I would not recommend ordering this product. There are far better products for less money.

It took me a few tries to learn the best way to secure the shoulder wrap, but once I did I found that it applied cold to the entire area quite well. It helped me identify that even though my shoulder was the problem, pain was also going down my arm, so I appreciated that the wrap goes down to my elbow.
I only gave 4 stars because I wish the wrap was a little colder on my skin (the material containing the gel acts like a thermal insulator, so you don't feel the full effect of the frozen gel).

I bought this for my husband who has had 2 neck surgeries within the last 4 years. He said that the collar fits perfectly and is very comfortable, but does not stay warm as long as promised. He warmed it in the microwave according to the instructions (making sure not to overheat it) and said that it lost all of it's heat in between 5 and 10 minutes. It was promised to stay warm for at least 20 minutes! He was disappointed because he said it would be perfect if it would just stay warmer longer.
