Customer Reviews of Emjoi AP-9T Tweeze TweezerCustomer Review: Works Good for me. Summary: 5 Stars
This little gadget really gets the job done for removing hairs from the facial area. Ok, I'll admit that it does hurt a little, but so does tweezing. I used to dread looking under my chin for facial hairs and pulling out the tweezers. Now, I just pull out my emjoi and in a few minutes or so I am done. It hurts a little more above the lip area, but tweezing and shaving is even worse. The best part is staying hairless for a week or so. It doesn't make the hair grow in thicker at all. Today, I am purchasing one for each of my sisters. So if you can handle just a little bit of temporary uncomfort for a few minutes, go for it. What a time saver, a great product and an excellent price.
Customer Review: 3 year user Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using Emjoi Tweez'e for three years. I am 65 years old and have those awful hag hairs that grow on the chins of we senior women. Before Tweez'e, it was tweezers and 20 minutes plucking the chin hairs every other days. Now I spend about two minutes a week to dipilate those haggy hairs.
I am a big fan of Tweez'e. Especially fond of the fact that I bought it three years ago, paid $20 for it at Bed Bath and Beyond and it still works as if it were brand new. Because that product has been so reliable and effective, I'm getting ready to drop the bucks on an Emjoe dipilatator for my legs now that I have figured out that Emjoi is the company that makes Tweez'e.
Customer Review: Promises big, delivers little Summary: 1 Stars
I bought two of these - one for myself and one for my husband. I thought he could use it on his ears and around his mustache and I wanted it for my chin, since we both work on these areas with tweezers. Unfortunately, it fails to deliver. It does not pick up the little hairs and if you wait until they are big enough, it is too late - you can already see them, so need to groom before they will work with the device. Longer hairs have to be trimmed to be picked up, so now you have two steps involved. I should have returned, but it is too much of a hassle and too expensive. Back to my tweezers, they work lots better and are much cheaper - and no batteries required!
Customer Review: Not for those with sensitive skin Summary: 1 Stars
I can stand a "little pain", so after reading the reviews here I decided to buy the Tweeze Tweezer. I gave it a try and ended up throwing it away. It is not just a little pain; in some places (upper lip area) it is very painful and not worth it IMO. I have sensitive skin which could be the problem and when I used it around my chin, my skin was not happy - it looked like I had welts in some areas and my skin was very red and swollen. I followed the directions of using it at a 90 degree angle, but it is just too much for my skin I guess. It was so cheap that I thought it was worth a try. For those with tougher skin that can take the pain, it may work just fine.
Customer Review: Ow! Ow! Ow! Summary: 4 Stars
Okay, just for the record, this thing is not painless. The product description above says it's painless, but don't be fooled. It feels like fire ants are biting your face. The instructions suggest trying it out on the hairs on the back of your hand before using it on your face. That is a good suggestion. I tried it out and am glad I did, that way I could brace myself for the pain when I used it on my face.
That said, it does get rid of the hairs on your chinny chin chin. Just run it very lightly over the skin in a circular motion, making sure you're pulling your skin taut, and it will rip the hairs right out. Just be prepared for some pain.
