I bought this package because it was perfect for my immediate needs - I had just bought 2 bow lights and 2 stern lights for 2 kayaks, which required a grand total of 16 AA batteries to operate.
I never use alkaline batteries unless I absolutely have to - I really try to stick with the NiMH batteries where they make sense, in high-drain electronics or items that will be used immediately. But these kayak lights will only be used when we are out on the water after dark, which is not likely to happen more than once a month. And they're LED based, so they'll probably last a year or more on a single set of batteries. Alkaline batteries just can't be beat for shelf life, and while they will be powering those lights this time next year, NiMH batteries would have to be charged before every outing because they drain themselves when not in use.

Even though I prefer rechargeable this animals come in quite handy. You never have enough so it is best to purchase them in this value pack. I pretty much know that a battery is a battery however like knowing when I had a new haircut it just feels better to use a name brand.
Just be sure, when opening the pack to rip through the plastic part of the container or you will ruin the proof of purchase.
The package says that the batteries have a 7-year shelf life but I do not see the expiration date.
I will not go through all the nefarious used of this product like energizing your bunny. However, I am compelled to repeat they keep going' keep going' keep going'

Not much to say about the batteries. They are Energizer and the brand certainly meets everyone's expectations. My batteries were received and the date on the package was well in advance, so no complaints here.
However, the price is a bit above average. If you are ordering for convenience fine. But if you want the best deal, you will likely need to go to your local discount store. The local store usually runs about $.70 per battery or less when purchased in bulk (more than 4). At the current Amazon price ($13.95), that comes out to about $.85 per battery.

I used to get rechargeables, but rechargeables are a hassle and get weaker and weaker over time. These Energizers work great for me. I always remember reading about what 1 Consumer Reports article said, all batteries are pretty much the same. Your best deal? Get whatever's on sale, that way you get the most for your buck. I thought this was a decent, prudent purchase, for it saved and saves me from having to drive to the store. Now of course, I could have searched for cheaper prices, but nothing to me beat Amazon Prime, and I am going to take advantage of it until I am either broke, or my computer stops working...(ha). Thanks Amazon.
