Customer Review: This works...just not with what I ordered it with.

I bought this charger based on one of those amazon packaged suggestions where you can also "add the energeizer charger for only $30 more" with another item I was buying, that was sold from an external vendor through amazon. So when my 2 items arrived, both of them worked individually. However when I went to use my fancy 15-minute rechargeable batteries with my battery-operated product, the batteries did not fit. How does the battery not fit if amazon.com suggests I package my purchase with its corresponding Energizer charger, is beyond me. I did not need to select anything where I could've messed this up with human error. Amazon.com provided the link to purchase this charger along with my other item...literally all I did is click. So this is a mistake on Amazon's part. I'll continue to shop on amazon.com since this is the first time any of my orders were messed up, but I will never again follow their suggested purchase packages. So long story short, if you know this is the charger you 100% want, you should purchase it. But if amazon is telling you these batteries will work with something else you're purchasing, you might want to double-check, since I got burned.Customer Review: AWESOMEST CHARGER

I was thinking I should write a review for this product because it's awesome. I don't know how I lived without it before.
Kay. It charges your batteries in 15 minutes!!! K awesome?
It charges AA and AAA batteries!!! K awesome much?
Mine came with a car adapter to charge with!!! I never use it... But still... Awesome!
And it has this distinct scent when your batteries are charging... This is the only area where it lacks awesomeness.

P.s. Example of awesomeness: i use this charger to charge batteries for my camera; especially when film my dance moves. I don't want to wait a freakin' hour to charge batteries. 15 minutes max! While it's charging, i usually stretch. And by the time i'm done stretching, my batteries are ready! I just pop them in, and get filming! And yes, these babies last long! Worst comes to worse, and my batteries run out, I use the other two batteries that i didn't use. So in substance, it's a 7.5 minute charger if you're using a device that uses 2 AA batteries. AWESOME.

I've owned mine for over a year and have nothing but problems with it. When it works (during the first 2 months maybe), it does what it says. Charges a battery up in 15 minutes.
The constant problems I have with this charger are:
1) Battery rejected: Red light blinks on perfectly good batteries. Batteries that charge up fine with my 8 hour battery chargers. And yes, they are energizer batteries, too. This is especially annoying if you're in a hurry and it rejects almost all batteries.
2) When it does charge batteries, 80% of the time, the batteries are barely charged. I plug these batteries in my camera and 5 minutes later, the batteries have depleted their charges. Again, new batteries and no problem with good ol' 8 hour chargers. Not sure what kind of charge it does but batteries aren't fully charged even if it says it is.
I would recommend even a 2-4 hour charge but this is a terrible charger that rarely gets used and is a waste of time more than anything. I'm not happy. I'm going back to my old ENERGIZER slow charger.

I bought this about a year ago when I got a Nintendo Wii, but I've been using it to charge batteries for just about anything: digital cameras, electric toothbrushes, etc. It does charge batteries in 15 minutes, and I've even used it to charge NIMH batteries from other brands, and it works just fine.
I suppose it can be a little picky in which batteries it decides to charge, but I haven't found it to be a major problem. Mine is only picky once in a great while. The batteries do get pretty hot while charging, but when they're done, I just take them out and let them cool down. I figured that was expected... I've never had any weird interference with any electronics while I was using the charger, and when the batteries are charged, they've lasted a long time, whether it's for a digital camera or a Wii remote. I also like how it also charges AAA batteries, and you can choose to charge 1, 2, 3, or 4 batteries.
A battery charger is a great investment; I've saved so much money on batteries, and this one does the job for me!
Customer Review: Misleading Marketing, Loud Fan

It's a shame that good companies feel they have to misrepresent their products. The packaging clearly states 15 minute recharge, see also the product image on its Amazon page. However, according to the instructions it takes 26 - 32 min. to charge 4 batteries depending on their capacity. So how hard would it be to state 15 - 30 min charge time? There's nothing wrong with taking 30 min. to charge four batteries, so what's Energizer afraid of? A well-established and reputable company like Energizer should demonstrate more integrity, honesty & ethics, especially since this is a good product.
If you're shooting a quiet indoors event beware that the fan is very loud and potentially would disturb participants and the audience. You'd have to find another room, or since the unit comes with a car charger, you could run back and forth to your car. Alternatively, an easy work-around is to come prepared with an appropriate amount of charged batteries. Or if you're shooting something like a dance party, no worries about the fan.
