Customer Reviews of Energizer Rechargeable 15 Minute Charger

Customer Review: It is the perfect fit for, "Oh I forgot to charge my batteries syndrome"
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the perfect charger for someone who intermittently uses the electronic device that requires them. If you are always trying to run out the door for a special event and then remember it has been a month since checking the state of battery function...this tools is for you. Just plug it in and let it run...if the batteries are still good it will fill the charge and you will be out the door in 5 minutes or less. But never more than 15 minutes even if your batteries are totally depleted.

Who has the presence of mind to plan for a 2-3 hour charge before the event or activity. I also use them in my remotes and just recharge as needed.

The short cycle time is a real boon to getting up and going again.

March 29, 2011 Here is an 18 month assessment of performance. I now share my charger with my daughter that has two sons that seem to run on batteries. This is the perfect tool for the age in which we live. The batteries are very reliable and have lasted a long time on duty.

Customer Review: A godsend!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this charger after tiring of having to constantly replace my camera's AA batteries, and it is tremendous. When I am in the middle of taking photos and my batteries give out, it only takes 15 minutes to recharge and I am back in business. Whether or not I actively use the camera, the charge lasts for at least a month and hundreds of photos. Though the unit was a bit expensive, as are the batteries, I know I am saving a LOT of $$$ in the long run.

After 8 months of bliss with this unit, I bought a second for another room and the AAA batteries in a snowglobe. So far the first charge has lasted almost a month of non-stop use.

I can't help but wonder if the reviewers having all the problems with this unit are using other than the Energizer batteries that come with it or not following simple directions. I only charge the batteries when they are depleted, so I don't get any flashing red lights, or rejected batteries, and it doesn't affect my TV, either.

Customer Review: Surprisingly Disappointing Charger
Summary: 2 Stars

Pro: This charger really does charge batteries in 15 minutes. Pretty cool... But...

Cons:
At first, this charger worked great. But after the first few weeks, the charger began to reject perfectly good batteries (including quite a few very new 2500mAH ENERGIZER brand batteries, so compatibility can't be the issue here.) Overall, it seems to accept about half the batteries I feed it, and then, it charges them only abouth half-way, as far as I can tell. I've bought two of these chargers and both have the same problem. From other reviews on this page, I see that I'm not alone in my experience.

Obviously not everyone has had these problems here, but my own experience is very negative (2 defective chargers) If you choose to buy this charger, it may be a bit of a gamble... so I would strongly recommend registering your charger to enable you to get an exchange/refund in case you get one of the many lemons they seem to be shipping out.

Customer Review: Fast charger, but not for use it worldwide
Summary: 4 Stars

I have this charger for over a year now, and it still works perfectly. It is the fastest charger I've ever used, it does charge the batteries in 15 minutes, as promised. It does detect bad batteries, and it allows you to charge even 1, 2, 3 or 4 batteries at the same time. The only con I have with this charger is its A/C adapter, which is kinda bulky, and it does not work with 240V. So you only get to use it if you have 120V at home, and of course you cannot take it to a trip to Europe, and the worst part is that Eneregizer does not sell an A/C adapter for 240V so you are stock with it in 120V.

For me this is important as I would like to take it with me on my constant trips to Europe because of its small size and fast charging rate, but unfortunately, it seems energizer people do not care about this. I'm presuming this as I wrote to their customer service about this issue 3 or 4 time and still waiting for an answer.

Customer Review: A really fast charger -- safe for your home
Summary: 5 Stars

I am sure the technology will improve over time but charging batteries in 15 minutes is pretty fast! This product does it. There are other models in the market that are cheaper but they take longer to achieve full charge. If you don't mind waiting for 2 hours then you may want to check them out. I have an xbox so waiting for 2 hours is an eternity. :)

It's pretty simple. You put in 4 drained batteries and the red indicator light comes on. The fans comes on (thus, the buzzing noise that you'll hear). It takes around 15 minutes (or a few minutes more) before the green light comes on and the fan shuts off.

It's safe for your home because as indicated in the product description, it has "Surge protection; Short circuit protection; Overcharge protection; Temperature control; Timer control".
