***UPDATE***
I have had this scale since May of 2010 and I have returned it 3 times to the manufacturer. This scale works for a month or so, and then the "tap on" feature just doesn't work. Another problem is that the screen just dies. The scale will work one day, and be dead the next. I love the accuracy of the scale, because it is very accurate. I have another scale (I had to buy another one because this model would constantly die on me and I needed to know my weight) and I have no problems with the other scale. I have been through 3 of these Escali scales, and the same thing every time... A DEAD SCALE. The screen doesn't appear after you tap (step) on it. I replaced the batteries with each scale, and the screen remains BLANK! With 3 faulty scales by this company, I think that there is definitely something wrong with the manufacturing of this product. I leave it the box, stored under my bed when it's not in use so it's not exposed to damp areas or hot areas, it's just a poorly made scale (that gives good results none the less).

I like the look and feel of the scale. This is my first glass scale and I prefer it to the metal type scales I have owned in the past. The plus is the large capacity, the main reason most people have purchased this scale is due to the high capacity I am sure, so that is a very good advantage. The accuracy seems to be on point for me. I have not had any misreadings or fluctuations while weighing myself. I read where people mentioned that it does not keep a record of your previous weight, so that you can compare and monitor gain or loss, that would be nice to have, but I don't have a problem writing my weight down in my journal and keeping track of it myself. I am more concerned with getting an accurate reading of my weight. With scales I had in the past, you had to step on, be very still, make sure it was even, and then get a readout. With this one, I step on, wait a few seconds, step off, and read my weight. Simple and easy. I like that.
So far I haven't had any tip overs. There are 4 suction type cups on the bottom and they hold it in place for me. When I pick it up to place it back under my bed, I have to give a little pull to get it off the floor so I am not concerned with it flipping or tipping over. It's secure.
The scale also has a nice stylish look to it, that is a plus.
Overall, it is a great scale with high capacity that gives you an accurate reading of your weight.

I'd HIGHLY recommend the Escali scales.
I first tried a different digital. I could never get the same reading twice. I could get on and have one reading, get off, and then immediately get back on and have a reading as much as 3 pounds off from the first reading. Really frustrating for me.
Next, I went back to the basics and tried one of the non-digital, older style ones with the dial. It seemed to be fairly accurate. Problem was that I had a hard time reading the dial. The markings were so close together that I still couldn't pin down an exact weight, so I was forced to estimate within about a 3 pound range.
Frustrated by my previous 2 scales, I spent a lot of time researching various scales online and reading reviews prior to purchasing my 3rd. I was tempted to buy one of the hospital scales that stand upright with the sliding weights, but I didn't really have a good place to put it. I decided to try digital again, and I narrowed it down to an Omron and an Escali. Based on better reviews at the time, I chose the Escali and I have never regretted my decision. I've owned it for 2 years now and it has always given me a completely accurate reading every single time. My only goal was a scale that would give me consistently accurate readings, but this scale also measures percentage of body fat, body water, and weight for up to ten individual users, and stores previous weights if you want to keep track. I'm still on the original batteries after 2 years of constant use by my wife and I, and I have no complaints at all. I loved it so much that I later also purchased their food scale to weigh meat, etc and it is just as accurate and I have been just as pleased.
I had never even heard of this brand before, but the bottom line is that based on my experience Escali makes extremely accurate, high quality scales. I'd highly recommend, and it's the only brand I'll buy from here on out. Hopefully they'll maintain their current quality standards for years to come.

Purchased this scale from amazon after reading and researching tons of different scales. I was looking for somthing that not only looked good, but worked well also. With the high star reviews for this scale, I decided this was the one. I am dieting and liked the idea that it told you your body fat also, plus, with it's glass design and round shape, it fits very nicely in my bathroom. I ordered this on Thursday, Feb. 26th and received it Friday, Feb. 27th, great job Amazon!
When it first arrived, i set it up as instructed. I programmmed it for 2 users, myself and my husband. We put it on a tile floor in our bathroom and only stepped on it with bare feet. It worked fine for the first 2 days, told us weight and body fat, water weight, etc.. Then, on Sunday, when I would step on it using my profile, it would only tell me my weight, not my body fat. When it got to the body fat area, I was getting a message that said "Err2", over and over again. After reading the paper that came with it (you can't call that thing a manual!!!), it didn't give any tips as to what to do about that.
I called Escali myself today and all they could tell me was to send it back. No apology for their equipment not working right, no explanation as to what could have gone wrong (one girl said it could be that the load cell broke??? WTF is that? Neither my husband nor I are extremely heavy, he is 185 and I am 180, how did we break a scale that is supposed to have a 440 lb. capacity??). Horrible customer service from Escali, horrible!!! They offered no advice, no apologies, nothing, first thing out of their mouths was that I should call amazon to find out how to return it! I will never buy another thing from this company again! Since when should a $50 scale (higher priced IMO for a home scale), break after only 2 or 3 days?????
Luckily, Amazon is wonderful to work with and are taking it back.
Hate this scale, don't buy it, stay away from this company!!!!!

When I took this scale out of the box I was shocked. I almost didn't purchase this scale because of how stylish the Escali TT200 looked. I did not realize this scale has a glass face, it looks awesome even sitting in my kitchen.
The display is easy to use and I was able to get this unit up and running just by reading one page of the instruction manual. I don't understand why people are complaining about the manual, right when you open it up there are ten steps to guide you through a complete setup. A youngster could do it.
The scale was very accurate and is as solid as a rock. I come from a family where we are all pretty heavy and this scale held us up with ease. You can even stand on it with one foot and it won't budge. It's nice to see the body fat and water readings and they are accurate for the average user. Any body builder would probably get this measured at the doctor or with his/her physical trainer so I wouldn't skip this purchase just because you don't think the fat/water readings will be accurate.
For such a quality product I can't believe the price. It would be foolish of you to pass up this product if you are looking to save a few bucks with something cheap.
Don't worry if you are a heavy person. I thought I weighed over 400 pounds but I ended up being much less then that and with my new workout routine I can't wait to see those numbers drop.
If you seriously think you are over 440 pounds first of all let me say I'm glad you care about your health and are taking the time to look into purchasing a scale. Your best bet would be the Siltec WS-1000L High Capacity Scale, as that will be able to handle anything under 1000 lbs.

When I purchased this scale about 9 months ago I looked at all of the reviews and given the overwhelming majority in the positive I purchased it. It worked flawlessly for about the first 4 months. Since then it has been consuming more and more batteries, I am now lucky to get 10 days from a set. It also has been getting progressivley more and more difficult to get it to turn on and to zero. I do use the body fat reading but often do without because it won't reset to 0.0 after starting the program. It just sits at ---- and then turns off. Now I am generally luck to just get the thing to wake up at all. This morning it too new batteries and 15 minutes of fussing before I got it on and past the ----. It wasn't even my profile that worked in the end it was my wifes so I still did have a fat%.
I am chucking this thing out the second story window and watching shatter on the pavement with great joy!!! I figure that with what I have spent on batteries in the last 6 months I can buy a pretty nice wizbang unit!. I have truly never been so thourghly dissappointed with a purchas in my life, especially considering how good it seem to be at the start. I feel like I have been defrauded.
Save yourself a headache and carefully consider the few negative reviews about this product. I suspect that many of the positive review come in that first few weeks of bliss when this is what it proports but there is no follow-up when it crashes and burns. All of the negative review are coming from people who have owned the product for more than a few weeks. I wish I had been more attentive to them... se la vie.
