Customer Reviews of Eva-dry Renewable EDV-300/E-333 Wireless Mini DehumidiferCustomer Review: Good-Bye Silica bags .... Summary: 5 Stars
This is the third one I've purchased (two were already in use in two separate cases doing a fantastic job). With having to care for vintage costume jewelry, these units are perfectly sized to fit in my showcases and not be an eyesore. Usually requiring a recharge every 2-3 weeks, I purchased the third so I never have a minute without one protecting my collection. Definitely great value considering what silica packs cost every 3 months. Anyone with a prized collection (whether it be paper, guns, gems or art) should seriously consider purchasing this product for smaller storage areas (safes, cabinets, etc).
Customer Review: Simple and effective Summary: 5 Stars
I use this unit in a 2 cubic ft. fire safe. I had been using silica bags, but I could tell they weren't working well as papers in the safe actually felt limp and slightly damp. Popped this unit in after recharging it, and the next day the crystals had gone from blue to pink meaning it had sucked out a lot of moisture. Recharged it, next time around it took a few days to max out. Now I'm up to recharging about once every other week. Papers now feel dry, and safe doesn't smell musty. My only caution is to be aware of the size. The unit is a bit bigger than I expected (about 6x5x1.5 inches).
Customer Review: i guess it works, but takes a long time to change colors Summary: 3 Stars
so, i used to buy the damprid closet hangers, but that got to be such a drain on my wallet (one would get full within a matter of weeks), then i found these - figured it wouldn't hurt to try. after having it hanging in my closet for a few months, i am not really sure how effective it is ... it took forever for the colors to finally change from dry to wet. maybe the eva-dry just has a greater capacity to hold moisture than the damprid closet hangers? i will continue to use it, because it does work, but i guess my expectations were skewed after having used damprid for so long ...
Customer Review: wonderful so far Summary: 5 Stars
Bought 4 of these. The 2 I have used thus far have performed well. I put One in a Small closet, the other in a 8x11 Small Bedroom. Here in Missouri the humidity in our home averages about 55% indoors. With the Eva Dry in a week or so I checked the humidity and both areas were about 37%. The Eva Dry's are just starting to turn color after about 3 weeks, so I will recharge them soon.
Pretty awesome being able to stick one of these in a small bedroom and drop the humidity close to 20%! and you can feel the room feels dry now. Very happy, and highly recommend.
Customer Review: it works! Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a dehumidifier for my bathroom, something that's small, quiet and not expensive. I am very glad that I bought EDV-300. I also got the mini version from Eva-dry as well and both work as expected. The crystal balls of the mini one changed color after about 1 week or so. The EDV-300 is starting to change color now that it
s about 1 month after I first started using it. The mildew is visibly less and takes a longer time to build up. My suggestion is that if your bathroom is over 9 square footage, you should get at least one EDV-300 and a mini one.
