Customer Reviews of Eva-dry Renewable EDV-300/E-333 Wireless Mini Dehumidifer

Customer Review: Eva-dry Renewable 300/333 dehumidifier
Summary: 2 Stars

I didn't care for this Eva dry product. When I plug it in half the crystals turn blue the other half are still pink. But it states not to leave it plugged in past 12 hours. So if all the crystals don't turn blue, what do you do? Maybe this one is simply a lemon. It does seem to absorb some moisture, but considering the size of the closet (2'W,3'L,6'H) it should be able to absorb any moisture in this small area. I bought a larger Eva dry that works better.

Customer Review: Works to a point
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased two of these for my cabinet which is 2' X 3' x 2', and they work fine for about 24 hours, then I have to recharge it. I found having 2 allows me to recharge one while one stays in the cabinet. It is a bit of a pain to change daily, but for the price it works. Unless you live in a dry area, I would buy 2 so you can cycle them back and forth and have constant dehumidifying rather then 1 and letting the area get damp while it recharges.

Customer Review: i think it works
Summary: 4 Stars

So I got the EDV-330 and a EDV-E-500 for my walk in closet and the basement. They both seem to take down the musty smell. I haven't plugged them in yet, but it does seem to be a little difficult to tell if the color has changed. The color window is barely pink. I'll wait a bit to watch it and if the color doesn't change, I'll just plug it in. Not a huge issue as the humidity does seem better, but not as easy to use as I'd hoped.

Customer Review: Pretty good, but maybe not big enough for what I need
Summary: 4 Stars

These things seem to work as described. I can easily hang them in my closets, and the little blue things turn pink over time. The problem is that they seem to only take a few days to turn totally pink and then I have to re-charge it (which is also pretty easy). I guess (assuming that the blue-to-pink transition actually does mean it's absorbing water) its a good product overall, just don't expect it to tackle any huge jobs.

Customer Review: great for musty books and papers! wonderful for asthma and allergy sufferers!
Summary: 5 Stars

When my grandchild was born I got out the children's books I had stored away. They smelled so musty I thought we would never use them, but by putting them in a cupboard with Eva-dry they soon smelled fine. Same with photos and documents kept in a damp file cabinet. After investing enough to put Eva-dry in linen closets, winter clothes storage and just about everywhere, my asthma and allergies have improved dramatically.
