I bought this item for $9.99 at target without reading reviews first. I used this on my 9 year old couch that had gotten extremely pilly, especially from all the fleece blankets my infant son cuddles with. One other reviewer commented on lack of battery direction, which if you look on the outside of where the batteries go you can see a "+" and "-" pretty clearly. My husband was able to de-pill the entire surface of the couch in about 6 minutes. Our couch looks brand new! We emptied the fuzz compartment 3 times. Hopefully the blades stay sharp for future uses. Even with this one use I think it has paid for itself. I was beginning to think of getting a new couch because ours had looked so crappy. Anyway, it is only $10. I can spend that at lunch easily. I recommend this item!
