Customer Review: Neat idea - not recommended for moving infants

I purchased this product because my daughter who was 3 months at the time of purchase really screamed and squirmed when I tried using a rectal or under the armpit thermometer. This product works great except the head is so narrow that it is difficult to move the head of the thermometer properly over her forehead because she is constantly moving. She is a light sleeper and taking her temperature while she is sleeping would wake her up not to mention that she has slept on her stomache since she's learned to roll. I kept it because I think she may prefer it once she's old enough to understand what I'm doing and hold still. I've used it on myself and it seems to work great. Pretty amazing technology, I just wish they made the head of the unit wider so that it would glide along an infant's head easier.
