Fahrenheit by Dior has a fragrance like no other... I've been fascinated by this fragrance ever since I can remember.
It is bold and fragrant... generally people seem to either like it a lot or hate it. It seems a little overpowering at first but as I said, you either like it or hate it.
the fragrance is masculine no doubt and it's not something that I'd use in summer... essentially a night fragrance.

This might be one of the most intense colognes I have ever smelled and I can understand the reviewer here who says he doesn't care for it. I think you will either really like it, or really hate it. I happen to really like it, although I never wear it in the daytime, as it is quite heavy. It is very layered, and the fragrance lingers for a long time, so to the potential buyer : beware, don't spray too much on yourself, or the people around you will wonder where that odd smell is coming from. When I say odd, it's only because there are really no colognes out there that smell quite like this. I am reminded of leather and cigars when I wear it, but I do understand that its smell will vary on different people. Any quality fragrance will do that. I like it mostly because it is so distinctive, and I always keep a bottle of it for night time wear. It is also very reasonably priced, especially for a Dior product, and is easy to find.Customer Review: Smells pretty much like the bottle looks...

Well I strayed from the formula and got burnt on this one. I've been purchasing and reviewing colognes from the list of "So you'd like to start wearing cologne" guide on amazon, of which this one was not on. Intrigued by many favorable reviews at Epinions.com I went ahead and took advantage of a good deal. Now up to date, most of the colognes I have bought are very bright and pleasing scents. At first sniff this cologne is VERY different. It is much more subdued and dark. In short, the bottle is basically brown, but when scrutinized through light it has other nuances, and this cologne is basically the same in fragrance. It is controversial, my wife says she likes it, I don't happen to. I can see how it gets either 5 stars or ranks very low. This cologne IS very different from others if you're looking for something different that people will know the name of, but there will be some that don't care for it at all. To me it smells like dark chocolate and tar that someone tried to cover with a musk cologne, neither of which are probably in it.
