Customer Reviews of Fallene Cotz SPF 58 Water Resistant UVB/UVA Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin, 2.5-Ounce TubeCustomer Review: Won't leave You Smelling Like a Coconut Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
When I opened the tube and saw the product, I was a little bit surprised. It wasn't what I was used to! The color was body colored instead of white, it wasn't greasy and it didn't smell. I had to know if this could really work.
To give it the ultimate test, I gave it to my daughter. She burns if she even thinks of being in the sun, so she was a great test. Plus, she is a member of a swim team and swims out in the open sun. The product worked wonderfully and my daughter loved it. She loved that it didn't smell of tropical fruit, which I also found as a benefit. She also loved the feel of the product and the color.
We now have a new sun screen! We have never had one that every one would use, as there was always something that bothered one of us. The only "problem" with this product is the price, but most of the products that really work are pricey as well.
Customer Review: Works As Well as Neutrogena on This Blonde! Summary: 4 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I am fair-skinned and burn instantly. I was skeptical about trying an "all natural" sunscreen because I have come to depend on the routine chemicals that protect me from burning so I did a test. I put Cotz SPF 58 on one arm and Neutrogena 55 on the other. After several hours in the sun neither arm was burned. Bottom line: it worked.
The Cotz has no scent. That is a huge plus for me. But like every other cream sunscreen out there, it has a greasy feel no matter what they claim. I'm not sure I would want it on my face on a daily basis. It is also a lot more expensive than regular sunscreen, BUT doesn't have the chemicals that are harmful to the environments/coral reefs, so it's a trade-off.
I give it four stars because it worked, it doesn't smell like anything, and because it protects the environment. It lost a star for cost and greasy feel.
Customer Review: Easy Application, But Stains Clothing! Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this product because I was going to Las Vegas and it was on
the EWG(Environmental Working Group)list of sunscreen products that was deemed "less harmful" & effective. Almost all of the more well-known
suncreens got poor ratings. There were a few other brands that scored
better, but either they were too expensive or out of stock. Anyhow,
in my opinion, applying the product was not too bad. It spread fairly
easy, no smell, and not as oily as most of the other products. However,
the biggest drawbacks are clothing stains & the off white cast it leaves
on the skin. This product stains everything it comes in contact. My
advice would be to only wear clothing that is washable, because it
seems to come of the clothing when washed. Avoid clothing that has to
be dry-cleaned. The bottom line is does the consumer really know how
well any of these products work or do they work at all? So all anyone
can do until something better comes along, is to use a product that is
recommended by a non-biased group & cover up.
Customer Review: Best for specific areas (for the cost) Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
For me personally - I got this sunscreen for one specific spot - my nose. Almost all other sunscreens (non-oily, made for the face, etc) still leave my nose a greasy mess. This felt like I was putting on an acne mask - in a good way. It was a fairly thick consistency and tinted enough to see I was covered. It felt like it soaked in and didn't leave me with a slick feeling (or a white nose).
For the rest of my family - it's not just a nose thing...
We used this on my daughter for an all-day, play outside kind of party. It went on easily and protected all day (through kiddie pools and sweat). My son also has a very short buzz cut and this protected his head on full sun beach days. It's hard to beat spray-on sunscreen for kids, but if you have sensitive skin and those don't work for you, this certainly protects well.
Customer Review: Effective Even After +90 Degree Weather/Freak Rainstorms Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I recommend this product because it works.
Last week, my family and I spent the entire week at Disney World. Everyone knows it's a less a family vacation than survival against the hot weather, huge pushy crowds, and freak Floridian rainstorms.
We spent hours walking *everywhere* throughout the theme parks and water parks. I decided to use this product and put it to the test. Day 1 was incredibly hot with +90-degree weather. Then it would suddenly rain out of nowhere. Day 2 was the same. Day 3 through Day 7, we would be walking for hours in the burning sun and then get rained on later on.
This product works. In past years, I came home with an unsightly farmer's tan. This year, I did NOT get burned, I did NOT get a weird tan, and the product did exactly what it promised. I like that.
