Customer Reviews of Farouk CHI GF1539 Turbo Big 2 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron Hair StraightenerCustomer Review: it works Summary: 5 Stars
I have very big, poofy, frizzy, thick hair. When I try to blow dry my hair straight it ends up getting poofier. When I use regular straightening irons it remains poofy. There is barely anything I can do.
But this makes my hair straight, shiny, silky, and so beautiful. I have shown this to my sisters in law, my friends, and everyone I meet, and everybody has fallen in love.
The only way my hair can be straight.
Customer Review: Like the 1" CHI better Summary: 3 Stars
I had the 1" CHI and loved it. Unfortunately, I dropped it and broke the ceramic pads. So I thought surely a 2" must be better. Not really. Sure, it works great but it's obviously heavier than the 1" and sometimes the back palm of my hand gets caught in the hinges. It has the temp control which I like but overall I had more control with the 1". It's much easier to manipulate. Would highly recommend the brand but like the 1" better.
Customer Review: 2 times a charm Summary: 3 Stars
Bought as a Christmas present for wife. She used it the first time and it quit working halfway through. Half her head was straight as a board, the other half curly as hell, which resulted in me having to go to walmart at midnight to buy one for her to finish with. Amazon replaced it with a new one shipped over night; I had it the next day before lunch. Very impressed with Amazons customer service! The replacement is working fine now.
Customer Review: Do not buy Summary: 1 Stars
I enjoyed using the CHI Turbo 2 inch flat iron. I have long curly hair and it worked great. But....it stopped working 4-5 months after I received it! It doesn't turn on. With the amount of money that is spent for this flat iron, it should work more than 4 months! Worse yet is their customer service fails to return messages. Terrible company and product. I am moving my business elsewhere and suggest you looking elsewhere.
Customer Review: CHI Straightening Iron Summary: 2 Stars
I love this straightener, however, I would not advise buying the Turbo. Why? CHI continually has problems with the cord connection. Sometimes it stays on, sometimes not. I am continually frustrated with making sure I hold the iron in a certain spot so that it heats up quickly. The regular CHI does not have this problem. I've had 3 Turbos and all did the same thing. However, when the red light stays on, it's a great iron.
