Customer Reviews of Fit & Fresh Lunch on the Go (Colors May Vary)

Customer Review: Simple, neat lunch kit
Summary: 3 Stars

Simple and neat. I've been using this to bring a salad to work and the main container allows for a HUGE portion while the small containers can hold the dressing or croutons or other toppings. What else can you really say about lunch containers?

Pros: Generous "portion" sized containers, nice ice pack feature.
Cons: Probably the pink/purple lids and baby blue ice pack make this more, umm, girly (sorry guys).

I haven't used this in microwave or dishwasher so I haven't experienced any warping. in fact, this kit seems rather solid, sturdy and brick-like. In fact, after I finish eating I often lean on this while talking or reading a book at lunch. Hmm this might even make a decent head rest for a post-lunch snooze...

Customer Review: Nice, But A Little Iffy
Summary: 3 Stars

I think if I am very careful these could last a lifetime. They do seem very spatially efficient. I really like the design of these. Great for packing lunches for people on the go.

They do seem like they might break easily. I would be concerned if I worked in a place that I could not keep an eye on my lunch. I used to drive bus, and these would have been ideal for that position except that these lunch containers would probably not last long in that position.

Other than that, I am very happy with mine. I got two for the rare occasions when I don't have a chance to clean one out really well the night before, I can still pack a lunch for the next day.

An overall nice "Lunch on the Go"!

Customer Review: Inexpensive bento option
Summary: 5 Stars

I was looking for an inexpensive way to pack a bento-style lunch without making a big commitment. I have had no trouble with ice pack fitting in even frozen, like somebody else did, so maybe the containers are a bit variable; and somebody mentioned that it leaks if you fill it with water, and so doesn't feel like they can put applesauce in it - well, I find most containers have to stay reasonably upright to not risk leaking, so I don't pack anything super watery unless I know I can keep it upright. It may be inefficient but I end up buying those little single-serve applesauces for my son anyway. And I had no trouble with hummus, as an example, or briny olives, in packing & carrying my own lunch. Enjoy!

Customer Review: Don't bother
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought two for the kids for summer camp because it had the ice pack. Your sandwich, which goes in the bottom, can't have lettuce or anything that will give it any bit of height because it will get "smooshed" by the ice pack. The bottom really doesn't allow for enough salad either. Small space. I have never put them in the dishwasher but the lids never go back on and if by chance you get them on (the little compartments) you break your fingernails trying to pry them off again. The outer lid has never gone back on again. The elastic method, mentioned earlier, works well. The ice pack, however, works well in keeping things cold. It would be worth it to spend a little more on a better product.

Customer Review: Cool Idea, Failed Execution
Summary: 1 Stars

I found these dishes at my local KMart store. I was SO EXCITED to find dishes that had built in ice packs to use in my child's lunch box. When I got them home, I put some water in them to test how tight of a seal they have--imagine my disappointment and disgust when I realized that these dishes LEAK. Now I am going to have to return them as I don't feel like they fit my needs--especially for how expensive they are. After all, how can I pack applesauce or cottage cheese and feel rest assured that they aren't leaking all over my little one's lunchbox?! Who even designs plastic food storage that leaks anymore?! I am beyond upset! What a waste of money and a waste of my time!
