Product works well, however, it does require that the flame be increased to achieve adequate heating. Also be careful that the handle is kept far away as it tends to scortch easily.Customer Review: safety hazard

The first time I used the Simmer Ring to cook soup the handle started smoldering and heated up.
Heat conducted all the way to the handle and could have started a fire.
