Customer Reviews of Flannel Baby Wipes - 15 pack whiteCustomer Review: Best wipes ever. Summary: 5 StarsThey're perfect - thin but strong, perfectly sized to just use one unless it's a really big mess. They don't seem to stain, and they dry in a snap. They're great with the Lionheart Wipes Warmer - use the bamboo ones that come with THAT for washcloths, and get these instead.
Customer Review: Make your own Summary: 4 StarsThese may not be an expensive item, but once I realized that they were just pieces of flannel with the edges surged, I figured I could do that myself, even using old flannel pillowcases and such.
Customer Review: Good for noses, not for bottoms Summary: 2 StarsThese wipes are too thin and rough for sensitive bottoms. They're also a bit too small and I find I have to use more than one to get my little one's bottom clean after she goes number two. They've gotten quite pilled and I think they're getting rougher and rougher with each wash. We only use them for wiping noses now. They're definitely not as cushy and soft as they look in the picture.
Customer Review: A favorite Summary: 5 StarsI love these wipes, there's a short list of things I absolutely love using with my son and this is one of them, along with FuzzyBunz diapers and Butt Paste... just a little warm water and these clean up the poopiest of butts in a jiffy. I love that I don't have to use any chemicals on my son's delicate skin and I can use a dry one to make sure his skin dries before putting a new diaper on him.
They will stain if you don't care for them properly, but washing them on the highest heat and little Shout gets the worst stains out every time.
Customer Review: Very Cost Effective Summary: 5 StarsI've been using these wipes for 6 months now, and couldn't be happier with them. I started off using a mix of water and baby wash, then folding them nicely into a plastic container on my changing table... until I realized that I was wasting a lot of time. Now every few days, I grab a big handful, get them wet, squeeze out the extra water and store them that way (why, oh why, did I think I needed to fold them nicely??).
On the few occasions that I've used disposable wipes (on vacation), I find that the cloth wipes work equally as well, often even better, for getting off messes. After awhile, I noticed that the ones I used for big messes got a bit stained, but really, there's no need for re-usable wipes to stay snow white forever. I haven't bleached them, so I don't know if that would get rid of the stains or just destroy the fabric (I'll leave that up to you to try).
All in all, this is a much better investment, both financially and environmentally, than using disposable wipes all the time.
