My 95-yr-old mother, who is extremely arthritic, loves these socks because they are easy to get on and off. They are loose-fitting and don't bind her swollen ankles, yet they stay in place and don't slip down, due to the contoured heel. We've tried many styles of socks, and these suit her the best of all. And the bonus is they are very cheap.

The down side is that the non-slip snowflakes on the bottom are very thin. But they've been washed a couple of times and so far they do the job for her. I bought two and I'm buying two more.
