Customer Reviews of Foot Baths - heated foot bathCustomer Review: Very good product Summary: 4 Stars
I had purchased a less expensive Hometics unit from Wal Mart that supposedly had heat & massage functions and was extremely disappointed. Hot water became room temp in minutes, the massage strength was very weak and the unit was not very deep and water would splash out. I returned that unit and bought this one after reading the reviews and am very pleased. The unit has plenty of room for my size 10 feet, the massage feature works fairly well, the remote control is a nice feature, and it has a long cord to make placement within the room convenient. As for the heat, wow, I have to turn it off after a few minutes as it actually gets too hot! I've had no problems with the drain plug as mentioned by other reviewers, and I've also drained the unit by simply removing the splash cover and tilting the unit. My wife and kids have used it and really like it as well. My only complaint is that you're not supposed to add bath salts, oils, etc as they may clog the jets. Overall a very good product. Cheaper models simply don't do the job.
Customer Review: So disappointed Summary: 1 Stars
Bought this foot bath for my father's Christmas present. He loved it UNTIL it started to leak. You have to take the stopper out to dump out the water. When we put the stopper back in it started to leak. So we tried to tighten it and that didn't work. So my father said that we should go and get some more O rings for the stopper. Tried that. Only to have the whole stopper crack in half. It had been cracked and we didn't even know it. I have called Brookstone twice so that we can send it back. First time talked to rep and said that they would send an email with the shipping label to send it back. Four days later called again. Different rep-said that they had never even sent the email. And oh by the way we are not going to sell that foot bath anymore. She said she would send email so that I could return it-guess what four days have gone by again and not one word from Brookstone. Going to have to call again. And all this time my father is without his Christmas gift. This whole situation has been a Review: Sturdy, Reliable, Strong Value Summary: 4 Stars
While a bit pricier than many of the other models, I took heart in the strong consumer reviews from fellow buyers. And I have not been disappointed. The Aqua-Jet Foot Massage Spa unit is well built and solid, with a nice wide base and sturdy construction. The high and low jet settings and variable bubble action, coupled with the heat selection, allow for a variety of customization options to achieve the right level of action for individual users.
My only complaint is that although well built, I've yet to find a unit that accomodates large feet! My wife has size 9 feet and I have size 11 feet. While the unit is large enough to massage our feet if we keep still, we can't really use the massage rollers on the base of the unit without smacking our toes or heels at the front and back. Ah well -- a minor quibble, since the rest of the experience is top notch and it's proven a great overall value.
Customer Review: Wow! This foot spa is great! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had a job for the last nineteen years that requires me to stand on my feet for the majority of my workday. Recently, I noticed that at the end of my shift my feet HURT more than usual. They began to throb. Two weeks ago I decided to purchase a whirlpool foot spa similar to the one at the salon where I get my pedicures. I wanted to pamper and rejuvenate my arhing feet at home at my own convenience without the added cost of going to the nail shop. My criterion: (1)water level deep enough to immerse my ankles, (2)powerful water jets, and (3)a heating element that would enable the water to stay heated for periods up to two hours. The Aqua-Jet Foot Spa has met all my requirements. In addition, the handles make it very easy to move and lift the spa when full. This unit is a bit more expensive than the other foot spas on the market, however, well worth the money!
Customer Review: Definately a gets HOT! Summary: 3 Stars
My boyfriend bought me this foot spa as a present, I had read the reviews on-line and this one looked like the best choice. I have had other foot spas in the past and wanted one again. This spa does get very hot, though it takes a while to warm up so I definitely recommend starting with warm water. It is very large and will comfortably accommodate a large foot, but I have smaller feet so this really matter to me.
I didn't give it a higher score because I was slightly disappointed with the jets, which are movable but are placed at the front of the spa. My past foot spas have and jets or at least some bubbles which massage the bottom of the foot. This one has plastic bumps with are only mildly helpful. If your looking for an amazing massage from a foot spa this isn't it. All in all its a good foot spa, but for the price you may find a better one out there.
