I am very allergic to all kinds of perfumes and scents, and I have a witchy sense of smell. I can't use any of the air fresheners, scented candles, or carpet cleaners sold in stores. This product is a miracle for me. It is made with only natural ingrediants, and I have never had a problem with its mild fresh pine/sage scent, in fact I like it. It really does neutralize, you can only smell it when you first put it out. We have two large dogs, and this product absorbs all those wet dog and oily winter coat odors. I put it in little bowls throughout my house all year long, but particularly in the humid summer weather. I put it in closets, the attic, and even in the kitchen to absorb everyday food odors. The spray is a must for cars, bathrooms, and heavy cooking odors like bacon and garlic. My husband, who smokes, uses it to spray on himself before business meetings. It completely takes away the smell of smoke from his clothes and hair, and disipates in 30 seconds, so he doesn't walk around smelling like a forest. The gel beads do dissolve quikly(within 2 weeks for about 4 ounces) when it's humid, the exception is in closets. This can become expensive if you're using it all around your house. But it's totally worth the expense to me. In winter though, it will last a few months. I've never reviewed anything before, but I just had to let people know just how great this product is.Customer Review: Lifesaver

I bought the gel, the spray and the candle for my son who is away at college living with a roomate who,unfortunately,is missing the hygeine chip. Let's just say because this roomate rarely bathes or washes his clothes, the room smells like a sewer. My son has had frank talks with him, opened windows etc. but doesn't like to use 'air fresheners' with strong scents. My son is low key, can easily live in a messy room so when he mentioned this issue I knew it must be big. I researched for a product that would be an odor neutralizer not just mask the problem. When my son received the package and tried it, he was amazed right away! He said the room was never this 'fresh' so it's a real lifesaver for him (and peace of mind for me).
Buy this product if you have an odor problem that you can't eliminate.

I bought a small jar at a little shop and asked the cashier if this worked. She went on and on about it, so I bought it. Back in May I spilled a vase full of water on my carpet in my car. Shortly after that the mildew smell started. We washed the carpets to no avail. The smell at one point was so bad that you could smell it from outside of the car from about 15 feet away! I opened the jar and the smell was gone almost immediately. I've left the entire jar open and I can honestly say it has done it's job. The pine smell is gone (although I really liked it) but the mildewy smell is gone too! My mom can't believe the difference! Since it did such a great job in my car I tried a little bit in a dixie cup and put it into the wooden cabinet that hold my garbage and recycling. I know longer have that icky food smell coming from there. This stuff is amazing! I use the Fresh Wave Continuous Release Odor Neutralizing Gel in my bathroom since I have an intestinal problem that produces some extremely foul smelling waste fumes. They don't clear up even with an open window or candle so I thought I'd get something more powerful besides the conventional can of dangerous, non-biodegradable and toxic vapors. I keep it on top of the toilet, next to my fish bowl, which seems to be the best place. It's non-flammable so if I light up a cigar it won't blow up.
It smells wonderful, I can detect scents of soylime, pine beedle, ashclove and cedar wood.
I just open the jar or pour it into an old vodka bottle and eliminate the malodorous, foul, putrid, odor coming from the area of the toilet. Can also be used in areas where dead pets sleep.

With four cats (and their litterboxes), plus allergies, I've tried a number of air fresheners in the litter box rooms and in the musty basement. Oust, Febreze, Lysol -- none of them worked well or consistently, and all of them left the air smelling at least a little medicinal and/or plain awful. Since I was skeptical and these aren't inexpensive, I only tried a small jar of these crystals in the worst-offender room for a couple of months. What a difference! Fresh-smelling air 24/7, no discernible fragrance, no constant spraying or irritating "scent stories" to deal with. I've since come back for the 64-ounce jar, and I'll be putting this stuff all over the house -- in closets, litterbox rooms, the basement, the kitchen -- pretty much any room with non-neutral air! Highly recommended.
