These braces go half-way up the forearm, so they hold enough of the arm in a straight line to limit wrist motion. The fingers are free, making typing easy, but writing with a pen is more difficult. The Small-Medium size was still too big for me, so I sewed the top strap to shorten it.Customer Review: Wrist Support

This wrist support brace is very comfortable and stabilizes your wrist to help heal and minimize any further injury. I highly recommend this if your are experiencing tennis elbow (medial tendonitis) for it helps to minimize use of those tendons for faster recuperation.Customer Review: Adequate support--needs washing occasionally, though.
